Drinking Edmund Fitzgerald Porter while I run the Toro. My neighbor gave me a 12 pack for doing his driveway

My driveway and that of the neighbor across the street then pulled a load of wood into the garage. Then a Double Chocolate Stout By Rogue. Cheers.

I would always go for the Imperial Stouts, especially. The Rocky Mountain Doris I saw
In Vermont, we get snow, but probably not as much as you do

Not much snow here. Esp the past 2 yrs. We get Arctic blasts down from Canada more so. Cold, dry and brown much of the winter though never the same year after year. I believe March & April are our snowiest months here. Right now: Brown

And once again it's time to gingerly groom my driveway, sidewalk, and my elderly neighbors driveway. Her DW is longer than some island landing strips. At least it's flat. I can only imagine what developed on the roads overnight. It was bad coming home at 11. How bad? The National Guard has been activated.
This snow is next to impossible to measure accurately as it is drifting heavily. Probly 8+ inches overall but that's conservative. Extremely windy right now and light snow as this system pushes through.
Leinenkugel's Big Eddy Imp Stout to get the ball rolling here.

Spoiler Alert: I will be discussing a side-by-side tasting of Celebration IPA and Northern Hemisphere Harvest Wet Hopped IPA this weekend in the NBW thread.

    Cheers!

Cool. I still have two cans of NH and lots of Cele. I did a side by side of those at the last BA Zoom meeting. Fun! Thanks for the heads up:beers:

When I saw your title, I thought of grooming ski area slopes
But I agree on the need for a good hearty beer after finishing scraping the driveway
My choice would be a BA Imperial stout or a strong barley wine

    Groom how ever you want!
Just rcv'd 5-6 inches of fluffy in a 24 hr event. Just enough volume to use the 2 stage machine. Still snowing actually. MNDOT and the state patrol have reported 170+ crashes yesterday. Ha! Not I. Why they don't close ramp gates and shut down highways for a few hrs boggles the mind, esp at night, because the options are there. They can't keep up with the blowing & drifting snow plus add all the shitty drivers making poor judgement calls and then innocent safe drivers are impacted.
Anyways, this brew pairs great now with this hard work. It's 20F with a wind chill/feels like temp of 8F. Work for 20 min, come back inside for a bump. Any beer would start to freeze within 10:00 here so indoors it is!
SN Celebration for Snow Grooming session #1 for 25/26. Be safe. What beer do you pair with your snow?

Looking out the window at elevated surfaces it looks like I have around 12" to deal with this morning. The temp is 30 so it probably is a fairly heavy snow and I don't know how well my snowblower will handle the 85' double-wide driveway. And it's still snowing and predicted to do so for another 3-4 hours.

My daughter and her kids visited us on Black Friday, and she brought a couple bottles of a bba stout from a local brewery, so I can see one of those in front of me in the very near future.

This beer came from @Blogjackets and it works really well with being out in the cold moving that sugar where we want it. At least it's sunny! Masthead Ice Melter IPA with Grapefruit and Habaneros.

Ahhh. Nothing lightens a load like beer. Our local meteorologists did not catch the ball on this latest snow event. 1-3 inches was their call for the metro.. 7 inches in my yard...still snowing. The wind was harsh all day ystrdy but has since calmed. The N. shore of MN got the most accumulation with some areas rcvng 34 inches or more. Heavy & wet snow. Lutsen will be packed if people can get there. I believe many folks in the US got a lot from this storm. So, a 12oz can measures just under 5" H and a 16oz can is just shy of 6.25 inches. It's 26F and I'm grooming snow today with Insight Dropping Bangers Hazy IPA
