Getting in a third new to me beer with the holiday extension of the New Beer Weekend thread. This one is one of several Speedway variants I've enjoyed over the years by my favorite San Diego brewery.

My aroma and taste leads were flipped and somewhat different, but both came together well. Going to be soon for quite some time. May come back later with my planned Cellaruary selection if I'm up for a two for today.

 

This was a memorable beer Craig. Hope you get a chance someday. @VABA started off well with one of my favorites (Peche Mortel).

Thought better of attempting a second pour today (let alone a bottle of BCBS) after getting in a nice stretch of sleep afterward. Paired the second half of the Speedway with a bowl of chili and it worked great. Miserable here, likely not going anywhere until Wednesday or Thursday once temps broach 20 F (it’s up to 5 F now).

Nice Lambic selection and driving video. Was traffic minimal because of the storm, or are you far enough away from the city that’s it’s typically not an issue? Reminds me of driving out in open McHenry county areas here, though there are state/county street/route signs by us, and would be tons of traffic, even on storm weekends.

How much total snow did you get this weekend? We’ve been fortunate here, only 14.3 inches the entire season. Just surpassed some of the Gulf states last week after our first over 2 inch fall last Wednesday followed by an inch or two Friday-Saturday overnight. Thankfully no more forecast precipitation until rain nine days out post Vortex.
