Kind of a new one here. Bauhaus Salt-N-Lime Wonderstuff. They got it! and it's really nice to have. Long lime, nice base with some bread notes. Cheers!

Echos of decades of music fill my mind. Beer is release along with some Monty Python. :joy::beers:

    Good morning,
this is a beer from a brewery born when the undersigned had started participating in craft beer festivals for no more than 4 or 5 years (strictly with a notebook and pencil... well, this still happens today...), so with Master Brewer Andrea we can say that we have taken a parallel path. He, a surfer style, fell in love with Californian IPAs when he went there to surf and started making hoppy beers that were immediately remarkable for the time, although with the recognizable characteristic of having (more or less) all the same base and therefore being, at times, very similar to each other.

Vento Forte Beers (Bracciano, ITA) - STRUNZ - German Pils (4.6%).

On tap (0.4 cl 6€ at the pub).
A beer of a splendid golden color, with a compact head of foam to the eye, but soft to the drink, which remains to act as a hat.
Delicate aromas of cereals and bread crust, still in a minor tone a hint of herbaceousness.
In the mouth a light-bodied beer, but with a rather low carbonation that makes it tend towards medium.
Fragrant taste (you can tell it is tartat of a fresh product) but balanced moderate that ranges from notes of bread making, especially crust of five-cereal bread and toast, followed by a refreshing and just slightly bitter herbaceous sensation.
The finish is dry, tongue and palate remain clean, not much of an aftertaste of cereal remains.
It lacks a bit of carbonation and although the foam does not make you suspect anything, in the mouth it lacks a more lively carbonation than this, which would have made the drink more refreshing and also more faithful to the reference style.
Good, but from this brewery (quite local for me, since it has its production site in a municipality 60 km from my house) I prefer the hoppy beers like the Pale Ale, the IPA ("NECTAR" 6.1% with Ekunaot, Simcoe, Mosaic, Sabro and Citra hops) and especially the West Coast IPA ("FOLLOWER" 7% with Simcoe, Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Chinook hops., perhaps their best beer in general).

Good day BAs! Thanks @LesDewitt4beer for opening the bar today, err, last night, err, whatever! And @Jack_14 - another excellent review!

Well. IMGUR locks up when I try to get a usable photo, xin loi. Today's Old Breakfast Beer (sans photo):

Rodenbach Ale - the basic 75% young/25% two year old mix that I absolutely love! This bottle has been hanging out in beer reefer #1 - best by 01-30-2019.

Aaaaand - IMGUR just popped up:

A bit of a different (French) beer for a change… Trois Chariots from Brasserie de Sutter located in Gisors, Normandy.

As far as I’m concerned I’ve tried enough French stouts or attempts at some and it’s been nothing but deception, however many French brewers can into IPA/DIPAs… sometimes pale ales or triples too:

Another weekday, another Cellaruary cross post. This is my last 2018 (or prior) Imperial Stout.

Full cellar review linked here. WBAYDN take, this beer for me is best between 1-2 years. At 6 1/2 years, it is pretty dull. Glad this stock is finally depleted.

Happy humpday BA's! Rain blew thru so I went to shooting practice and ran a couple errands. Lunch is a Publix Boar's Head Italian sub with cheddar, @Roguer the cheddar kicked it up a notch! Washing it down with a can 'o Heady. Four hours of rain coming before long so a few outdoor chores next.

Wednesday Wednesday wishy washy Wednesday and we've made it to the other side of the Arctic polar vortex! Still open hand face slap cold but improving. I'll probly get outdoors for a minute this weekend. At least it's been very sunny.
Last night's music was refreshing for the most part. Our front man was out sick so the fella who subbed rocked well and we did a lot of segues. By that I mean one song flows into another song without stopping. For instance "France" by Frank Zappa flows into "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" by The Beatles. Speaking of flowing...it's Schell's Firebrick Vienna Lager. Back to it and it's so damn tasty. Cheers!
