What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4508

Working on these two at 3am while I prep some mozzarella stuffed meatballs to cook tonight and wait for my GF to get home at 6 am from work. Not a bad day so far!

 

Still Thursday for me and having a local beer. Local for me in this case means the beer still has to come here by ship being a State of multiple islands.

Good morning Advocates,
Yesterday my football team won a great victory in the UEFA (mafia) Europa League... the match was played at a shameful time, starting at 18:45, I entered the match after it had been going on for 23 minutes because, look at that..., I had to work. And even though I don't have a strict shift schedule, I could never have been on time for the time that the Lords have set for kick-off.
Soon, the draw for the next round: either against a Basque team or the City Derby against Lazio.
We are here and we are ready.
In the meantime, last night, as soon as I got home I celebrated with a Double IPA from what I think is currently the best Italian producer of the genre (or rather, the one I like the most):

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - ELMORE - Double IPA (8%).

The usual 44 cl can will have cost me around €6/7.
I didn't look at the dates on the bottom because I was tired and I ONLY wanted to drink Victory beer and then go back to work today without weighing down my psycho-physical condition further.
Intense aroma of tropical fruit and citrus, "lagerized" golden color, little and soft foam.
Medium/dense body, medium/low carbonation.
In the mouth the bouquet explodes that was already invasive to the nose: white pulp fruit (white peach, ripe pear, coconut) and summer (passion fruit, pineapple, papaya) followed by a more decisive citrus (grapefruit, cedar) that closes the beer with a pleasant herbaceous bitterness (pine needles, light resin). In the palate it remains a nice fruitiness, I love it.
