    Good Sunday morning BAs

Had a nice (post birthday) visit with my daughter Saturday afternoon / evening - she brought me some nice goodies, and this delicious beer - from Gemut in Columbus - we have gone to the brewery there before, and this beer is awesome!

happy last Sunday of February - today would have been my late brother's 69th b-day!

Lots of bird calls on my Emma walk earlier - including these guys caught on my Merlin app

Happy Sunday ba. Another nice and lazy Sunday here for me. Into it w/ 8th anniversary, ddh tipa, other half. (Mosaic, motueka, idaho 7, citra, galaxy, enigma, citra cryo & incognito)
Smooth and plush hop juice with tropical fruit notes. I get a lot of mango and lime. A bit hot on the finish but not bad for 10%,

    Hello BAs!
Executive decision has been made and I'm havin' a morning beer. My lil' run ystrdy was nice except one of my shoes has morphed... and I kept on going. My right leg hurts today and it shouldn't.
So, my exercise today: 12 oz curls
    Bauhaus Pineapple Wonderstuff Pilsner
It smells like yummy pineapple upside-down cake. Cheers!!

Also if anyone locally is interested, I have some nice clean 16.9 oz bottles to donate to anyone's brew project. I was gonna make some beer but now I'm not. Mainly all import bottles. Gimme a toot if interested.

Good day BAs! Chores including laundry underway today, so it’s time for a new to me beer - Firestone Walker’s “Parabolita Salted Caramel” (2024):

A bourbon barrel aged stout with vanilla beans, cocoa nibs and sea salt. Poured at 54.7°. A tasty pounder at only 9.2%. Working on my tasting notes; hopefully I’ll post up on NBW thread.

I’m meeting a couple of beer buddies this afternoon at the pub for a mini share. Hawthorne turned 8 this weekend and we’ve been partying every day.

Cheers y’all, hope to see you later!

    1) Modist Pretty Metal (4.5%): A European Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark cocoa, roast, black malt and earth. Roasted.
    versus
    2) BlackStack Spare Parts (5.3%): A European Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark grains, dark chocolate, cherry, and raspberries. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Euro Dark Lager Battle, Modist vs. BlackStack. First is Modist Pretty Metal. Oak-aged, smooth with complex dark grains and fruit flavors. Next is BlackStack Spare Parts. Dark cocoa, chocolate, smooth grains. Incredibly smooth. Better than I remember this one.
    Winner: BlackStack Spare Parts
