Full Cellaruary take linked here. WBAYDN take, this held up quite excellent, everything is popping including a great roast coffee flavor, no pepper notes. Refrigerate and Revolution's BA offerings will treat you well to great.

Good day BAs! Thanks @jkblr for opening the bar! This reminds me (for some odd reason) of my days at Ft. Muck-muck, sitting on the steps to the Rod and Gun club, waiting for Frank to open the door. Followed by drinking malt liquor, eating scrambled eggs, and watching The Three Stooges on the bar TV - "A man is a god in ruins. When men are innocent, life shall be longer, and shall pass into the immortal..." Screw the transcendentalists!

Anyway, today's New Breakfast Beer, courtesy of Barleywine and Stout BIF #2 in general and @Whyteboar in particular:



Final impression and summation: 4.5 Flavors are mulled and muted after the initial taste, allowing the fruitiness to come through. The bourbon barrel never put in an appearance; I suspect it’s acting behind the curtain. Gastric warming becomes quite comfortable. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts – excellent RIS!

Happy Devilish Thursday BAs....

Kinda a crappy gray wet day thus far - haven't walked yet - just not feeling it!

I am feeling this "Best by 8/2021" Duvel, in a new glass I traded a friend another Duvel art glass for yesterday - I have doubles of a couple of these great art glasses....this one is pretty cool!



I think I have 8 or 9 of these lovely glasses in my collection - all of them are awesome!

 

Tidbits. Sniglettes. Orts. A wee bit of stuff. That's today here on my end. Mildly indecisive at this point where to begin so Half Acre Ridge Tree Czech Dark Lager it is! @Todd would dig this brew. Wrote 75% of a review for it after 1 sip. It is fantastic! Has a particularly dry finish.
40F, sunny & windy. Might fall outa the Haus later if I fancy layering up.

My lady was gonna pitch this fern last Oct. but I rescued it and gave it snow melt w a grow light all winter. It'll be back outside in 2 months! xxoo

 

You have The Lode. I sometimes use a Duvel glass for a big Stout...like a KBS type of thing. Great glassware!

 

It's a nice day, but a little too windy for golf. Windy enough that the dogs don't want to be outdoors. Fortunately I have plenty of things to do indoors.

 

Woah. Getting really windy outside. Goes right up yer dress. Better have a beer. Same as before.
Imagine if they had an entire acre... Cheers!

 

Hiked in the Greenville SC area and now lunching at the Yardhouse, House Helles and an Ahi Tuna salad for Da Boss and Chimay Blue and Stacked Enchiladas for me.

What's The Triple In The IPA? - Evil Twin

Another random single picked up from the "getting too frequent" forays to the store... and yet another IPA. These have been all getting picked out of the fridge randomly, too. Think this one is fresher than the last two at least. Anyway, another good and enjoyable one on a respite day. More orange in coloring, smells of orange marmalade, probably same in taste, although nothing jumps out at me too strongly here. Sweet, malty, pleasant. Very smooth but not that bitter.

Did not intend on having one again this week before Saturday, especially one this strong, but it's been a long week as is that won't be ending anytime soon. Oh well; at least the glass looks slightly cleaner? Hope everyone is doing well.
