Sunday morning coming down… my favorite morning by a country mile. The town is utterly quiet, it’s sunny, cold.

Drinking Duvel Tripel Hop Citra. There’s also its cashmere counterpart. Both really good. Both found near everywhere here ie no need to go to a beer store:

Thanks for your open as always @Shanex . Was juggling what I guess could be cooking dinner with my second variant release of this selection for New Beer Sunday #1045.

Full review linked above, full New Beer Sunday #1045 take linked here. Really enjoying but the Garrison variant was a bit more luxurious and full flavored overall. The whiskey is less prominent for me with this one.

Will enjoy this tune after Blues Before Sunrise.

    Good afternoon BA.

A quiet Sunday today, spent the morning doing chores and now it's time for a beer and to catch up on last nights UFC.

This year's Puttty, the annual release from Verdant of their TIPA and it's tasting fantastic this year. I nearly bought a 4 pack, wish I had done now.

Catch up from yesterday and last night as I hopped all over downtown/near downtown Houston.

First I have to have a good base before a full night out...so stopped at one of the best, Cafe Brussels for some mussels (their sampler platter this time, normally I get the big pot, but I could decide which one I wanted ha). La Chouffe in the glass, always one of my favorite Belgian Pale Ales.

Then on down to La Carafe. The oldest bar and building in Houston. Starting this book by John Banville. Yellow Rose in the glass.

And sorry, breaking the rules. after La Carafe it was cocktail and whiskey time. Bounced around a couple of places. This is the amazing Captain Fox Heart and the Bad News Bar. With one of the best dry Martini's you will have.

Out on their balcony over looking Main St. as the sun sets.

This was all in service of going to see Vijay Iyer and his trio with Linda May Han Oh, and Tyshawn Sorey. Three incredible musicians that I can't stop listening to.

It was at The Worthem Center, which is one of the coolest music venues. No pictures after this, respect the place to much, and put the phone camera away

Today might be a hangover day ha, cause in the words of Malcolm Lowery, there were drinks I both should and should not have drank ha.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the bar! Another frosty morn here on the tundra of NW PA - after a few spring-like days which didn't trick the local vegetation into budding - they know better. Some of the ice on the river broke up and moved downstream, but not enough to cause problems in Pittsburgh - yet.

Today's New Breakfast Beer - from @Whyteboar and Barleywine Stout BIF #2 - thanks Craig!

Decent chocolate stout, barrel aged, with vanilla (allegedly) - I can't taste vanilla in anything short of an extract - chalk one up for genetics.
Final impression and summation: 4 Chocolate comes through, but my taste buds rarely detect vanilla. OTOH, very easy drinking.

Good morning, BAs! It's already been a busy one here today, but I'm ready to sit down and relax.

Mariposa Märzen from Couchiching Craft Brewing Co.

A decent Marzen. One of my favourite styles but sadly I didn't see too many new ones this year.

Good stuff Larry! So nice to have some laffs, chat about things that bubble up and to see all those smiling faces! I nursed my Schell's Baltic Porter right into the WBAYDN? thread for a closer and didn't even spill any onto my clip-on necktie. :stuck_out_tongue:
I too encourage more BAs to join us in the beer Zoom.
Looks like a beer buddy is cruising over to my shack later today and one of his sons just returned from Poland with some beers in tow. I'll grab a bar stool this afternoon. Cheers!
