Is it hazy? Yes. Is it a NEIPA? Not really. But it’s still a very enjoyable brew.

Level Crossing VII XXV XVII BBA Wheatwine, 10.5% ABV. Pours deep brown with a one-finger beige head that left slight lacing. Aroma is toffee, vanilla, and orange. Taste follows, plus honey, slightly sweet, faintly bitter, no bourbon burn. Excellent mouthfeel, overall world-class.

I love me some wheatwine, and this is the best I've ever had, thanks to @NorsemanOne including this in my BIF care package! Could drink these all day.

1) Phase Three Snow Pants (7.9% canned 1/15/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Meridian, Moteure, Mosaic for flavors of sweet and tropical berries and dank pine. Some lime green melon, and mint.

2) Phase Three Unchecked Imagination (7.8% canned 1/17/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra and Moteuka with flavors of orange, lemon, lime, and mango. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Phase Three IPA Battle. First is Snow Pants. Some Meridian hop flavor which provides a dank pine and minty note. Mosaic gives it some tropical notes as well. Next is Unchecked Imagination. Citra and Moteuka. Fantastic orange, lemon, lime, and mango.
Wow. The Citra and Moteuka balance perfectly here. Complex Citra flavors plus the lime from Moteuka. This is World-Class and the greatness of Phase Three on display here.

A nice lazy sunday! Did a bit of housework, and have been reading all morning. Seems about time for a beer … going with this Czech dark lager from Eckhart. It’s pretty good!
