Wednesday afternoon Cheers!! Fast moving front moving through which will drop the temps(yes!!) Enjoying an SOS.

 

Sticking to its sand city here ba. Mofosaic, mosaic single hop ipa. Light and fruity with a true dank note. Nice stuff,

 

1) Modist Pretty Metal (4.5%): A Euro Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark cocoa, roast, black malt and earth. Roasted.
versus
2) Arbeiter Nacht Rider (4.9%): A Schwarzbier from Minnesota with flavors of dark chocolate, grains, smooth cocoa and dark fruit. Clean and roasty. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Dark Lager Battle from Minnesota. First is Modist Pretty Metal. One of my go-to dark lagers every year. Oak-aged. Dark grains, earthy, and smooth cocoa notes. Excellent.
Next is Arbeiter Nacht Rider, a Schwarzbier. Drinks similar, but slightly more dark roast and dark fruit flavors.
Arbeiter has been dominating the lager game, first with their Gold in the German Pilsner category at GABF. This schwarzbier is outstanding.
Winner: Arbeiter Nacht Rider

A Round Tip Face Rump Roast, to be concise.

Not the exact proper glass, but close enough.
This Maibock is one of my favorite beers. Ayinger makes great beer.

Having a Von Trapp pilsner ..

 

1) Drekker Metaphase (8.2% canned 11/18/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Citra & Nelson Sauvin for flavors of lemon and orange citrus, green citrus and juicy pine.
versus
2) Phase Three Chrome (7.8% no canning date): A NEIPA from Chicago with Vic Secret, Citra, Motueka & Mosaic for flavors of grapefruit, guava, pineapple, sweet grape. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Drekker vs. Phase Three NEIPA Battle. First is Drekker Metaphase. Citra and Nelson. My favorite IPA from them. This still drinks amazing with robust white grape and citrus flavors. This should be a flagship Drekker in my opinion.
Next is Phase Three Chrome. Some great Vic Secret pineapple flavors balanced with Lime from Motueka. Fantastic and complex flavors. A wonderful showcase of hops.
These are two amazing IPAs. This Phase Three IPA is super impressive and possibly one of their best. I am digging this one. But because I know how good Drekker Metaphase is, slight win there.

Real Ale Favorable Conditions West Coast IPA. Nice little number.

 

Very nice Baltic Porter from the mixed pack. Fresh snow greeted me today. Amazing that it was absolutely gone this weekend to the bare grass.

Grabbed a Lagunitas IPA while out with the in-laws. More and more I appreciate these kind of solid, consistant offerings. You know what you’re going to get and so you’re not disappointed. Cheers all!
