What beer are you drinking now? #4521

Started early for CO Pint Day at Landlocked Ales with an Irish Red and a Peanut Brittle ber, using my Craftapped for BOGO. Started at home around 9:00ish with a 2018 Vindication Freedom Stout, followed by a 2015 Avery Samael, and finishing with my last Hair Of The Dog: 2007 Doggie Claws. All three absolutely delicious so once again, aging ain't necessarily a bad thing. Cheers y'all.

 

Still burnt out a bit with all the February Cellaruary reviews and heavy beers, so pulled out my last Temperance selection, as the brewery closed in the Fall.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



KBS Hazelnut Fudge from Founders Received from @Whyteboar in Barleywine and Stout BIF #2. Received 22/02/25, reviewed 06/03/25 (Review 3463). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
12 oz bottle stamped on rear label “Bottled On 01.08.25”. Stored at home at 42 degrees and served at 52.5 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 57.3 degrees F.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Palate seems thinner than the average KBS, but that could be a trick of my memory. Aroma/flavor is distinctly filberts, everything else is distinctly marking time.

Bottled 1/22/25. Poured at 52°. I haven’t had a breakfast stout in awhile, and this beer tastes great.

Tampa Bay Beer Week (TBBW) is in full swing. I’m talking to Amanda about a meet up this afternoon at Arkane Aleworks for its “Friends” party; multiple collabs on tap with great National brewers like Other Half, Mortalis, etc. Have a great day y’all!
