Very good yeast flavor, subtle banana, orange and clove-ish spice, over cracker malt.

It's a rather blustery day here in New Hampshire with wind gusts hitting 60mph.

Already ~40,000 without power. Luckily I've got power and no downed trees so far.

Seems as good a time as any to enjoy a PIlsner Urquell!

Technically it is still winter and am enjoying Nightcap a Winter Warmer from Edmund's Oast in Charleston, SC. Adjuncts are blended nicely, not all breweries can say that. Listening to Sirius Pop Rocks.

Two Locals - Clean Sweep German Pilsner

 

Today I am feasting like a German. Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier with a string of sausages and pretzels.

My real life black and tan - er, the Germans - approve of this message.

Beautiful pour!

 

Finally tried Sullivan's Black Marble Irish Dry Stout. I have never been a fan of anything on Nitro, to put it mildly. Though I have been wanting to try this for a while, one...to see if my tastes of changed about nitro, and two...I keep hearing this is a good dry stout.

The verdict...yay I'm still no fan of nitro ha. It covers almost everything up, except a slight grainy/toasty bitterness. Then its just gas in my belly ugh. I have their Irish Red on Gold Ale for later...

Out in the courtyard with my next John Banville novel, one of the best Irish writers.
