    Good morning Advocates,
before throwing myself headlong into the many work-related matters that grip my life, I wanted to include the beer I drank last night just before returning home for dinner:

MC77 (Serrapetrona, Marche, ITA) - FLEUR SOFRONIA - Blanche with hibiscus (5%).

33 cl bottle (5€ from the fridge of the pub I'll tell you the truth, I convinced the manager - who is a friend of mine - to take it).
On the label: "Batch: 13624 - Best before: 01/2026".

This is one of the Italian blanches that I like the most and includes the addition of hibiscus flowers.
Both on the nose and in the mouth it is extremely floral, on this very light and "wheaty" body, a delicate acidic hint, a fairly soft finish while in the palate this note of rose petals and red fruit remains.
For my tastes, creating a beer like this is a plus for a classic reference style that in itself would otherwise not make my eyes pop out of my head with enthusiasm.
It's a shame that the market doesn't give it a wider distribution, because this is another beer that would represent the depth of our artisans.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Jack_14 for opening the bar! The hibiscus brews I've had here were pretty mediocre, but maybe if brewers knew how to use them... My brother and niece are taking Italian lessons (my brother has also applied for dual Italian citizenship) so maybe someday soon I'll be able to travel with someone who can order beer in Italy!

Today's New Breakfast Beer is another from 3 Floyds and @Whyteboar, through the auspices of Barleywine Stout BIF #2:

Final impression and summation: 4.25 The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I quite like this barleywine. The hops come through, much more obvious than the bourbon barrels, although the vanillin from the barrels is surprisingly strong. For me, this could be the archetype of the American Barleywine. Thanks Craig – I really enjoyed this one!

    I wish!
You have to know how to move, but this is a certainty.
In the sense that, in its simplicity, it is exceptional - according to my tastes.
But something can also not be liked personally, but be recognized as excellent, as in the case of those who do not eat certain food, but recognize its quality.

Still catching up with posts from this weekend (finished yesterday's thread), listening to many great tunes slows me down but it's worth it.

    Yesterday

    • Larry @tasterschoice62 - So sorry to hear about your cat. So young, what a heartbreak.
    • @defunksta - Agreed, and I got their glass at one of their "keep the glass" events. I like saisons in nice weather, and it was my first chance to crack one this year. Cheers!
    • Nice to see Anti-Hero celebrated @brewskis !
    Weekend
Another banger out of the Milwaukee taproom for me, 16 oz is about as "tall" as I get these days on Tall Boy Tuesday.

    Good Afternoon Advocates!

Warmest day of the year so far. Don't think we'll get into the 60s as forecast, but close.

This weather has inspired me to crack into a delicious Pilsner Urquell!

Happy Tuesday ba. Early day home so into it I go. All green everything, ddh tipa - motueka, citra & mosaic- other half. Probably my all time favorite oh beer. Aggressively hop forward, soft fruit notes that do not overpower, and crazy smooth for 10.5%,
