I understand how you feel, Vegas/Clark County took 702 from us northerners. It would have been tolerable if they had assigned the rest of the state with 777 as the area code but instead chose 775

 

@LeinenkugelDrinker - Love Vegas & Nevada. Need to hit Sparks / Reno / Lake Tahoe soon. Thanks for breaking up the five straight Chicago WBAYDN beers. My brother has been 702 in Summerlin since 2012. Had Reno brewers in Vegas, but haven’t been up north since before I started drinking craft beer, so need to rectify this.

Running out of steam here, but went further than expected. Ordered this one to celebrate the Saint Patrick High School’s trip to @champ103 ‘s Champaign Urbana for the first time tomorrow to play in the Class 3A Final Four.

Does Vegas get a fair amount of Reno/Tahoe beers? I very rarely see their beers up here and there’s quite a few I’d like to try.

Also that Shamrock looks/sounds delicious!

1) Utepils Helles (5.1%): A German Helles Lager from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, honey, toasted bread and earthy notes.
versus
2) Third Space Helles (5.2%): A German Helles Lager from Wisconsin with flavors of smooth honey, earthy notes and yeast. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Finally the weather for some Spring-weather Helles battles. First is Utepils. One of my favorite Helles and Utepils makes some of the best German lagers.
Next is Third Space. Similar but slightly more off flavor from the tart yeast.
Utepils makes some of the best.
Winner: Utepils Helles

 

The first fresh Tropicália of Spring

 

Revision gets here a bit, we enjoyed select IMBIB beers before they closed, and a few Great Basin. My brother saved a Nevada Passport for me, so looking forward to participating again and ticking a bunch of Vegas breweries. Received two pint glasses and a few other goodies last year for participating.

Love Northern Nevada, Tahoe is great, Reno / Sparks very fun. Will never turn my back on Nevada.

Right along here ba. Two thumbs up, dipa- motueka, nelson, mosaic “hyper boost,”- from Hop Butcher once again. Rather clean and dry feel upfront with a subtle tropical fruit finish. Notes of dry white wine, and some odd fruit notes. Definite mixed berries but i also get banana and a sort of bubblegum note.
So far, I’m not overly impressed by these guys. This is the best of the three, that I’ve had,
despite their ba scores. It’s different but still decent drinking,

 

Victory Layered Up, an American Stout. Dark cacao and some roastiness gives it a bit of an edge and given the smooth thicker feel it drinks bigger than the 6.5 abv. I would definitely buy a sixer next fall. Sirius in the background again today.
