What beer are you drinking now? #4530

1) Drekker King of The Thing (8.3% no canning date): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Citra hops for flavors of orange citrus, tropical citrus, some sweet peach. Juicy, soft, and smooth.

2) BlackStack KPIs (8.3% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with HBC 602 Nectaron for flavors of lemon, bright pineapple, grapefruit, white grape, and mango.(Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Drekker vs. BlackStack DIPA Battle both weighing in at 8.3%. First is Drekker King Of The Thing. All Citra hops with a distinct sweet peach flavor. Excellent, but I've noticed some versions of this are better than others and it has to be fresh. This one seems like a bit more peach than previous versions.
Next is BlackStack KPIs. Some nice Nectaron for similar flavors but more complex grape, mango, and stonefruit. BlackStack with the win over Drekker in this one.
Winner: BlackStack KPIs

 

Extra Stout in the glass, Irish cheddar and funky English Stilton on the plate...finishing my John Banville novel out in the courtyard.

 

A second Hamms as garage cleanup continues. The crap you find sometimes...Cheers!
