Cheers to you! I'll buy you a beer anytime. If nobody has dealt with caring for older parents you have a rude awaking. Mine were in Chattanooga until we relocated them to Ocala. It's a fucked up feeling loading them in the car to arrive in assisted living 700 miles from home. Time gone by has healed a lot of wounds. A lot of the parts of life suck, but it is what you make them.

Hey I have one of those too,

 

I’ve been taking a few days off drinking here and there, but tonight is a good night for some. New neighbors had their property surveyed, and I found out I have loads of cut trunks organized, but on their property. So, 9 hours of moving wood up a hill, down a hill…some like 300 lb logs up a hill wood…still more to move, and then they’re (politely) complaining about a 8-10” corrugated flat drain that our excavator inadvertently placed about five feet in on their side. It captures the hill down flow that floods our yard, and they are all “what if magic liability happens?” Time for a bigger parcel and harder to see neighbors. Maybe I raise a nuisance complaint about “their” water negatively affecting my property. I’m too old for this crap.
So, a Social Project BA SP-2 with cacao, courtesy of @russpowell from the stout / barleywine BIF #2. It’s good. Very aromatic cacao. The flavor has big bourbon bite and tannins up front, with a silky textural malt backbone. I thought at first it was coming off heavy handed, but it’s punching right in its weight class. Cacao adds an earthy chocolate on the end of the sip. Drinks quite easily at a 12% brew.

 

I am sure everyone knew this week's emotional sunset piece was going to be dedicated to PR, the birthday garçon, @Shanex! He starts off our days in a way that brings us all joy. I wish this Wisconsin weather showed as much appreciation as we all have for you. We love you, @Shanex! Hopefully you are still celebrating right now!
