Before the buyout they also made a Barleywine called Hairy Eyeball that I thought was damn good.

 

I have written down from last year too bitter needs to sit. I'll be honest and say I don't recall how bitter last year's was but my comments about this year's remain the same. A bit too bitter for my taste fresh. Another year or 2 and this will be amazing.

 

Last one was pretty tasty, so I will have a second. Johnny Winter on guitar with Jimmy. Cheers!

 

Deadhead West Coast Style IPA. I really dig this beer. It’s no skunked Newcastle out of a clear bottle, but would do the trick on Shakedown Street. Boys giving The Bee Gees a run on this one.

 

To each his own and whatever makes the beer taste better for you I'm all for. Personally, I have given up aging beer, so I'm just drinking them as fresh as possible these days and have depleted my old beers to a low number. I think most beers older than a year were given to me via trade. This year's does seem less bitter to me, but I like enjoy both styles of barleywines. Cheers.
