Enjoying Darwin's Forehead from Fonta Flora in Nebo, NC. Getting notes of coffee and chocolate and definitely the salt adjunct. Hopped nicely, a nice touch of residual sweetness. Nice representation of a salted caramel porter.
    Cheers!

Following up with Double Darwin's Forehead. Aside from some astringency in the nose as opposed to the coffee and chocolate with the original, the Double version was spot on.
    Cheers!

Formula Brewing Daydream Stream Baltic Porter, 9.9% ABV. Pours thin and dark brown, with a two-finger light-brown foamy head that left some lacing. Aroma is chocolate and roast malt. Taste is roast malt, faintly sweet, slightly bitter. Thin mouthfeel, a bit overcar-bonated, overall very good.

Thanks to @snaotheus for this epic glass and excellent Baltic porter, which he shared with me in a return-fire box for our Stout/Barleywine BIF.

Pretty good start to the afternoon. The coffee is for more mild than anticipated. The roasted malt ranges from light charr to dark. There is pleasant bitterness in measure with sweetness, and a hint of sourness. Sweetness builds with warmth and into the finish, never approaching strong. Medium to light body, texture of slick jersey cotton, light-soft carbonation.

A wonderful porter from @Braunmeister_1943 . Dōmbōc from Lolev in PA. This a Baltic porter aged 18 months in oak foeders, and conditioned on tart and Maraschino cherries. 8% ABV.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours very dark brown - pretty much black. Nice one inch layer of tan head. Good lacing. The nose is chocolate covered cherries, toffee, vanilla, and some nice dark malts.

The taste follows the nose. Bittersweet dark chocolate covered maraschino cherries, oak, vanilla, burnt toffee, and a pretty significant earthy note. Lovely porter!

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a bittersweet aftertaste.

That number is too convenient not to say that water, hops and malt make beer, thus two of three are 'local' ingredients and are 67%? (We'll ignore the yeast for this.)

At 5 months in the can this is still real lively and has gone a little sweet, kind of like a molasses cookie dunked in coffee.

I had that on a t-shirt back in the day. I love the old labels, hate the new ones. Don't buy much from Founder's anymore, except Centennial. I buy local. That's my $.02.
Having a Proximity Porter from Holzlager Brewing, Woodstock, Illinois. I'm not much of a Porter person so this works for me.

SIP - Stigz' Imperial Porter from 2SP. Compliments of @Braunmeister_1943 in a recent trade.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours black, but nothing crazy. A fairly short layer of head. The nose is baking chocolate, roasted malts,

The taste is fantastic. Semi-sweet chocolate, coffee, tobacco, burnt wood, molasses, vanilla, and a light layer of blackberry.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and the aftertaste is a nice slightly-fruited chocolate. Great porter overall! Cheers!

FivePine Chocolate Porter from Three Creeks in Washington.

Pleasantly substantial with a creamy melting in the mouth. It is slightly bitter at the end, more of a leafy and even medicinal tang. A fair amount of burnt barley taste. Rather dry with maybe a hint of bitter chocolate. Perfectly drinkable, though rather austere. Not one of my favorites, but clean and well made.

Lolev Dōmbōc Baltic Porter, 8% ABV. Pours blackish-brown with a 5+ finger beige persistent head that left little lacing. Aroma is oak, chocolate, and cherry. Taste follows, plus dark fruit and char, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Dry mouthfeel, overall excellent.
