I would be just fine with just rain.
Well, next beer today is this one. I got to sample it at work, and was blown away. Finally got to review it.

    Lundr's Lager - Klockow Brewing - Grand Rapids, MN - Rauchbier - 5.6%

The smoke is so good in this beer.

From a 16oz can. No date on the can.

Beautiful amber pouring beer, There's a 2 finger white head that had decent retention. There's a bit of lacing on the glass.
Nice biscuit grain aroma. There's a bit of buttery biscuit and there's also a hint of smoke.
The flavor starts out with a nice malty flavor. There's a bit of buttery biscuit and some grain. There's a hint of sweetness to it. The biscuit does fade a bit, but the smoke kicks in. The smoke is so tasty and powerful in a good way.
The body is quite decent. It is smooth. The feeling of the smoke just clings in my throat.
Wow! If you like smoked beers, I do highly recommend this one. Very well made. Delicious!

    1) Hofbrau Dunkel (5.5%): A German Dunkel with flavors of chocolate, brown, bread, earthy Munich malt.
    versus
    2) Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel (5.0%): A German Dunkel with flavors of brown bread, earthy Munich malt, bread and yeast. (Correctly matched the two blind)

German Dunkel Battle. First is Hofbrau, ranked #71 on BeerAdvocate. Standard and excellent for the style with complex German malt flavors. Fantastic and probably deserves better than it's ranking.
Next is Ayinger, ranked #12 for the style. Similar complex German malt flavors with just a hint of tobacco and molasses. Outstanding and I haven't found a better one than this.
    Winner: Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel

Good morning BAdvocates. I’m drinking a Revision IPA at the moment. Need to go get some new brews here in the next few days. Definitely have to get an Orval.

Cheers everyone, and have a great Wednesday.

    1) Tripping Animals Astral Otter (7.6% canned 1/27/25): A NEIPA from Florida with Moteuka, Nelson, and Phantasm for flavors of passionfruit, grapefruit, and dank grape with hints of lime.
    versus
    2) Phase Three Unchecked Imagination (7.8% canned 1/17/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra and Motueka with flavors of orange, lemon, lime, and mango. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Tripping Animals vs. Phase Three IPA Battle. First is Tripping Animals Astral Otter from Florida. First try at this one. Excellent hop combo with the Motueka and Nelson. Then with some Phantasm as well. The phantasm gives a phenolic passionfruit flavor right out of the gate. But settling into some nice hop flavor complexity as it sits.
Next is Phase Three Unchecked Imagination. Citra and Motueka, simple yet amazing hop combo. Incredibly complex, and smooth lime flavors from Motueka. One of my favorite IPAs from Phase Three and probably of all time, but also impressed by this Tripping Animals IPA here.
    Winner: Phase Three Unchecked Imagination

Day off, lots of errands run and I got into the garden for the first time this year. Needs some work to the structure. Cleared the beds and got sidetracked digging out ivy and porcelain berry on the other side of the fence. Invasive as fuck they are.

Enjoying this one here, the dog is chilling in the sun. No tunes, just the breeze and birds.

    Enjoy
