Yeah man, that sucks. Knew it as soon as I saw the foamy top.

I know a few people to have gushers on DW cans over the last year+, including myself. However, I've only had it happen once or twice, and never with fresh stuff. I don't know what causes this, but no one has ever reported off flavors, nor have I experienced them. I've brought this up on this thread before and not much convo about it. It's definitely a thing at this point.

 

I can’t prove it, but 10 years from now I suspect this photo will eventually be the evidence that leads to the capture of California’s notorious Craft Beer Killer.

 

I'll make sure that you're first to fulfill your suspicion

I've never had it happen with any other beer before besides a Straight Jacket 3 or so years ago.

Must be that Flint water they use!

Finished off a can of Lumberstruck last night. It was great and probably the best use of Amburana that I've tried from any brewery. Sadly it was my last can of any beer from the Deep Woods season. This was my first year splitting a membership and I tried to be responsible in my purchases but now I'm full of regret knowing I won't have any more until the fall.

Doug took Revolution to a much higher level in all business aspects. A good leader leaves his company in a better position, both operationally and with properly mentored staff to take over the lead.

Sad day for Revolution fans, but excited to learn about his next opportunity, and to support Doug and Revolution as these new chapters unfold, and the new management team at the brewery.

Wow, you guys are going to bring the tears back out. Thank you for all the kind words, fun banter over the years, ideas and suggestions that led to the Season Ticket and so much other feedback that we were able to weave into the program.

Getting to pair up with Jim, Marty, and Victor to be the marketing side of the Deep Wood Series was a beer geek's dream. To be honest, nobody ever even asked me to do it and it was never on my job description. I just started doing it and nobody told me to stop

On a similar note, thank you for always pulling me aside to compliment the staff on all the work they do to put on those releases. It's not our core business to throw barrel-aged releases 5 times per year, but so many people care deeply and come together to figure it out. I will miss getting to do those things and so much else.

All that said, I've always wanted to be a business owner at at age 43, it was time to put up or shut up. So onto a new challenge that allows me to continue to write about the beer business and more, while layering in an exciting new evolution.

Between Josh, Marty, James, and others at Rev. They see your comments, appreciate them, but in the past have always let it be my thing to respond. They'll be happy participate and answer questions while always being willing to back off into the shadows when you rightly have a critique or need to vent. That's always been the delicate balance to strike here. As for my ability to comment on this forum in the future though...

 

As sad and bittersweet as it is for Revolution to have lost a staunch advocate and legend, I’ll look to the future and choose hope…hope that new leadership can finally push Deth Nuts into being and into production.
