Thank you bartender. I will have another. Imagine this: WC Session IPA except it's 7.2%. Ruh Roh!
{{ Blackstack Petting Zoo IPA }} minus the sludge.
    Cheers!

Still catching up with prior day threads, but want to mention I’m enjoying your vacation pictures 1079612[/URL]]@Shanex and your Equinox tune @LarryV . Enjoyed your Brewery Viviant conversation yesterday @Ozzylizard and @Whyteboar , it was my favorite space and also had solid beer during my very brief visit to Grand Rapids last year. Need to return later in the week when more places are open.

Inspired by the “gushing” conversation in the Revolution thread. Never had a beer or pop gush beyond a dropped can in my youth, or a bottle beyond perhaps a couple of lambics over ten years of craft drinking. Not sure how others experience this.

Still great as always. Looking forward to Opening Day a week from today, my first in person since IIRC 2006.

    Miss my Newports.

Impressive monument and excellent photo. For those wondering about the monument like I was:

Les Braves (The Braves) is a sculpture in tribute to the Allies that landed on Omaha beach. The sculpture is located in Vierville-sur-Mer on Omaha beach itself at the junction of dog red and easy green sector.

The sculpture was created by Anilore Banon and consists of three elements.

    The wings of hope
So that the spirit which carried these men on June 6th 1944 continues to inspire us, reminding us that together it is always possible to change the future.

    Rise, Freedom!
So that the example of those who rose against barbarity, helps us remain standing strong against all forms of inhumanity.

    The Wings of Fraternity
So that this surge of brotherhood always reminds us of our responsibility towards others as well as ourselves.
On June 6th 1944 these men were more than soldiers, they were our brothers.

Pre-gaming before going to hang out with the white-haired crowd down at the Flat Rock (NC) Playhouse to take in the Stairway to Zeppelin performance tonight. This brew is very nice, would definitely make room for a sixer in the beer fridge for this!
    Cheers!

    Well done and done well!

Also many quotes from Eisenhower, Roosevelt, De Gaulle or Churchill written nearby each and every memorials… that of the Old Lion being one of the most witty if a bit… maybe provocative and sad:

«Some must die, so others can live»

    Cheers!

If all lagers had this level of flavor I would drink a lot more of them.
Still (and will be for a long time) trying to clear out the beer in my cellar that don’t normally stand a chance being aged with any success.

Must say on this thread (WBAYDN?) I usually only "like" posts with a picture of a beer that someone is drinking, however I had to give @LarryV a "like" for his last post.

    1) Half Acre Ridge Tree (4.5%): A Czech Dark Lager from Chicago with flavors of dark malt, cocoa, light roast. Clean.
    versus
    2) Oliphant Rusket Dark (5.0%): A Dark American Wheat from Wisconsin with flavors of bittersweet dark chocolate. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Dark Lager Battle. Half Acre Czech Dark which is excellent. Oliphant Rusket dark is a Dark American Wheat which I haven't had much of. Dark, bittersweet, but somewhat flat.
    Winner: Half Acre Ridge Tree
