What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4536

It’s the second anniversary weekend at my home town brewery, Autodidact Beer. They’re releasing 4 collabs. Too many for one session so I’ll have some today and more tomorrow. First up is Green Noise for the Sleep Deprived, a collab with Twin Elephant, hopped with Citra, Riwaka, Pecherine, and heavy terpenes from another NZ hop with a long name. Fruity, weedy, earthy, and dank. Great stuff. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

With Mrs O and Little O at Bare Hands, which is our uber close local (8 minutes from our home), this is Double Thai.p.a., an excellent WCDIPA with Thai palm sugar, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaf, and galangal (Thai ginger). Really good stuff, IMHO.

2nd Anniversary #2 is Autodidact’s first true West Coast IPA, Fresh Bones, a collab with Wild Fern Brewing of Frenchtown, NJ. Columbus, NZ Cascade, El Dorado, and Simcoe. It leads with crackery malt and bitter pine sap but there’s some grapefruit rind just below the surface. Cheers!

 

Horseshit of a week. Very happy to finally be sitting down watch my march madness bracket get destroyed in real time. Enjoying this dry Irish stout from @marvin213. Really like it.


Getting kind of chilly, so Zucca and I are happy to be by the wood stove (I give it 30 more minutes before he moves from the couch to laying directly in front of the stove, ha).

 

This is the way. You owe us one of the mystery beers this weekend for NBW and tasting notes in BIF. Tall bottle is my suggestion.
