Making my way through a pretty sizable Heady stash; I never get tired of this beer.

Friday evening, the work week is over, plenty of hoops on the tube tonight and a damn fine beer in my hand. Life is good
    Cheers!

Thanks! Hamms: It's the "I feel lousy, but not lousy enough to not drink a beer" beer. Cheers!

    1) Toppling Goliath Sosus (8.2% canned 1/22/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic for flavors of tropical orange, blueberry, grape, tropical melon with a sweet nectar and berry flower flavor.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Orange Moss (7.5% canned 12/27/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Citra, Simcoe, and Tangier for flavors of orange, bright tangerine and flower with hints of tropical peach and strawberries. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Toppling Goliath vs Hop Butcher Battle. First is Toppling Goliath Sosus. All Mosaic. Some dank pine and orange flavors. Slight bitterness as well.
Next is Hop Butcher Orange Moss. Some Citra, Simcoe, Tangier for lots of smooth orange flavors with a floral and mossy component. Smooth, but the flavors sort of seem one dimensional into the orange category. That was intended I suppose. Sosus may not be as hazy, but a nice bite.
    Winner: Toppling Goliath Sosus

Surprisingly my Hamms needs restocking,,, my 20.999 year old daughter left a few empties in the beer fridge,,, apparently someone made a No Drink Till 21 yo rule in the house. Wish I had a mini Stanley when I was 20.999 ,,, or 15.999 maybe

Having tasted Moment of Clarity a few days prior which was absolutely fantastic, this one seems like a B-list celebrity to MoC's A-lister status given all the similarities in adjuncts between the two. Pours pitch black with lots of foamy, cream-colored head from not-that-aggressive of a pour. Smells of faint maple, dark chocolate, coffee. Taste is coffee-forward followed by dark chocolate (this is vice versa for MoC) and slight maple. Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated and somewhat slick. Finish is dark chocolate and lingering bitterness.

This is a very good beer but MoC is leagues better and if given the choice, it's obvious which one is the better of the two.
