What beer are you drinking now? #4537

I have changed some descriptions that have been clearly wrong. In this case though, the brewer is calling it something unique, and there is no clear category to change it TO.

Maybe if I drink more it will become more clear.

G'day all!

I saw this again, bought a bottle, opened it this morning and I am still not a fan. The numbers 3 and 23 show up on the label so I reckon it is a 2023 edition. Oh well, I have another 750ml of the Cinq Cents in the fridge.

I second that. Was in Chimay a few times even, tried white, blue and red labels on several occassions, but never came on top of my "i want to try this again"-list.

 

Great beer, looks like you got an aged one. Is it?
The brewery would advice a more chalice-like glass, not sure if it really matters, but Belgians are quite picky about these things,

Well, shoot! Stopped by Port City to get their Altbier, and it kicked right before I got to order. ALX IPA (remake and rename of the beer for Alexandria’s 275th anniversary last year as a consolation prize.

 

I bought this 2 years ago and it's been in the fridge all along. I believe a chalice with wide opening is preferred due to the thick foam. Maybe I'll try using my Duvel chalice next time. I like to use this Allagash chalice for Belgian beer quite often too.
