Best beer for a wedding reception with lots of 21-25 aged people. Cost is a factor. Ideas? I know what I like…..

If cost is a factor then look at what's available to you in kegs. Forget about the nicety of a variety of brands/styles in bottles/cans. The number of guests who will drink will dictate how many different kegs.

If you know what you like, that should be a consideration. What do you like? With this information, we can likely suggest some great options.

Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA. Instruct the bartenders to dilute with whiteclaw to the drinkers preference

Do they get married at that age? Perhaps it's a "retro" event, and they're just being "ironic"? I suggest Schlitz - based on the Kansas location of the OP, since there was a Schlitz brewery next door in KC, MO. Unless someone's revived the flagship beer of the previous owner of that brewery, Muhlebach.

Or go really retro, and serve homebrew since Kansas didn't repeal state prohibition until 1937. :astonished: Didn't get a brewery after Repeal until 1988.

I dunno what the crazy kids drink for beer these days but a variety of bev's is always appreciated (IMHO) at events such as yours. Miller Lite, Guinness, Bells, some local craft, some cider, maybe even a few 5mg THC infused cans, a kissing booth, etc. :beers:

There is no such thing as best beer for large weddings. If you gave us any real info we could help you out. Till then, goodbye.

    Enjoy

I just went through this with my daughter last spring. We had Miller Lite and Spotted Cow. Went through 5 kegs of ML and 2 of Spotted Cow. A ton of wine too…….my wife didn’t show me the tab at the end of the night, probably for the best. We had fun!

Interesting suggestions. And, my "back of the envelope" calculating shows that, on average, those two brands are each available in over 25 states each!

Yah. Miller lite available in 50 states plus Mexico and Canada. Spotted Cow, not so much. I was trying to help the OP figured out what to do. Jesskidden feeding the stereotype of the typical NJ resident. See ya! Peace.

Absent any knowledge of particulars. I don't think kids would give a hoot about what you like.
Probably just a regular every day drinker.
    And two bottles of Malort.

Ah, just jealous that we, along with people in the other 48 states + D.C. (well, kinda), as well as Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands don't get the fine beers from New Glarus.

If someone wants to bootleg a keg of Spotted Cow and serve it at the next wedding I'm invited to... well, I might just cancel that fictitious "doctor's appointment" and get my suit dry-cleaned (if it still fits :grimacing: - f*ckin' things shrink just sitting in the closet!)
