Breakfast With Maris from Timber Ales, Horus Ales, and Mindful Ales. Breakfast with Maris is a barrel-blended English Barleywine, featuring Maris aged for 30 months in Bliss Maple Bourbon barrels before being blended with a fresh batch of Maris and conditioned on cinnamon. 13% ABV.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a thick black with pretty much zero head. The nose is maple, cinnamon, marshmallow, toffee, bourbon, and chocolate.

The taste is really nice. Nice big cinnamon and maple notes hit right away. Also getting vanilla, some bitter oak, chocolate, toffee, plums, figs, bread, and graham cracker. Really nice. A bit on the sweet side, but not quite at the "too much" level.

Aftertaste is maple and sweet candy. Mouthfeel is medium to thick bodied.

Cheers to @Stoutofmymind for this NBW Imperial Stout/Barleywine BIF#2 beer

Fabled Beer Works Nachzeher ( A dead person that comes back seeking revenge up Northern Germany Way ) BA Imperial Stout ( 2024 ), 15.0% ABV; 4.48 overall

Pours an effervescent mahogany with fast falling tan head. Viscous, some lacing, zero head retention

S: Tons of Bourbon Barrel, figs & Candied fruit, chocolate & coconut once warmed up

T: Follows the nose, leafy hops, chocolate, vanilla & coconut, a little booze bite up front. I am certainly getting the German Chocolate Cake aspect, albeit a boozy cake, Bourbon is all over this beer as it warms up. Finishes a with Bourbon Soaked Choclate, coconut & vanilla

MF: Pretty chewy, low carbonation, pretty warming

Great BA Stout, flavor profile is in totally in my wheelhouse, easy to drink for the heft

Munro from Barreled Souls. Scotch ale. 10% ABV. Poured at fridge temp. Pours a very dark brown with a relatively mall amount of light brown head. The nose is lovely. Toffee, bread, oak, raisin, dark roasted malts, a slight nuttiness, and a touch of stone fruit. Very smooth.

The taste is delightful. Brown sugar, toffee, dark malts, slight maple, earthy, bitter oak, molasses, and a hint of black licorice. Really flavorful and enjoyable. A wonderful Scotch ale.

Ever Grain - Old Evil, cognac and bourbon barrel aged barleywine at 15%

12oz can served in a snulip. Can is not dated, as far as I can tell. @DIM sent it to be in Stout/Barleywine BIF #2.

Pours dark cola color, aggressive pour yields a medium sized head that settles fairly quickly into a demure ring and a couple expressive little islands of dust. Smell is booze, rye spice, vanilla, tons of oak. Nuts, herbal, toffee. I don't know cognac well enough to pick it out of a lineup. There's a vague hint of a green grape skin bitterness.

Taste is quite lovely. Green grape doesn't quite capture the interesting fruity vibe, but it touches on it -- maybe add in something citrusy and lots of dates and raisins, some fig, some starfruit. Cola or sarsaparilla or both, nutty sweetness.

Mouthfeel is smooth, alarmingly light and clean for 15%. This is an excellent beer, and it's very dangerous.

A huge thanks to @Braunmeister_1943 for sending this gem in a recent blind trade. Royal Scepter from Levante Brewing Company in PA. A straight-up Russian imperial stout. 9% ABV.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours jet black with a generous amount of tan head. It sticks around for a while and nicely laces the glass. The nose is roasted malts, coffee grounds, slight mint, slightly bitter hops, and a bit of black licorice.

The taste is super smooth and intense. Wow. This is fantastic. Dark roasted malts, almonds, slight hop bitterness (citrus peel), burnt toffee, slight molasses, black licorice, coffee grounds, charred wood, and an earthy note. Just a lovely beer.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied, and the aftertaste is charred wood and a bit of burnt toffee. This is how Russian imperial stouts should be made.

Clearly Deceased IPA from Altamont Beer Works

Aroma is the best feature, with some cedar and citrus, straw and pond water. Plenty of spritz and pleasing mouthfeel. Tastes of stems, wood, citrus, and some melon. Lemony finish and rather bitter. Overall this is a pretty standard IPA that doesn't care whether you live or die.
