This feels like a Cigar City beer from 2016. But I'm not mad about it

It sounded like they were trying to temper the expectations of new and old LC's with as much fine print as possible in the email they sent out.

 

I was wrong. It was soursop, not grapefruit. But it was $40 per 750ml. I apologize to everyone

 

Why are they even still offering sours to LC? It’s borderline trolling to offer “early access” to beers that sit around for an eternity.

 

At $20 each, I'd gladly buy both to drink, but what will happen is they will be packaged with a stout later and I don't want two.

 

The Dunkel feels like trolling, even though it is real. I mean, it sounds just like a joke for someone to say, "next year LC members will get the 'privilege' to buy unlimited amounts of a wine BA Dunkel aged with figs and dates.

 

Idk.. the dunkel sounds interesting to me ::shrug::

Oh, like @not2quick mentioned, I’d try it, and I’d probably choose of my own volition to pay $20 for one, but the point is just that no one joins LC for that beer. Everyone in LC is praying that doesn’t set the tone for the entire year.

 

So should I wait on getting one? Will it def be packaged later?

 

That's the conundrum. You don't know. It's happened to me before.

 

If it's not packaged it will still probably sit in the shop until June. I wouldn't buy one today unless you really want more than one bottle and you want one of them as soon as possible.

As someone who doesn't really swoon over many (or any?) of the fruited stuff SP does, this one actually does sound pretty intriguing. Not enough for me to buy online, but I'll be semi-hopeful they have it on-site during my next visit.

 

They're not even using a thoughtful amount of figs and dates !

 

all I can say is...lol
