    Good morning,
this is a semi-masterpiece, from a brewery famous for its hoppy beers but which is a guarantee of extreme quality on each of its references, regardless of any personal taste.
It's one of the Italian breweries that today offers great artisanal quality.

Alder Beer Co. (Seregno, ITA) - GORDITA - Mexican Chocolate Imperial Stout (13,5%)
We are talking about a blend of two Imperial Stouts produced in Double Mash and matured respectively in Bourbon Heaven Hill barrels for 26 months and Bourbon Jim Beam for 12 months.
A selected blend of different cocoa nibs produced by Brave Beans Chocolate of Senigallia, Ancona, ITA (Ecuador, Colombia, Haiti and Venezuela), vanilla and cinnamon from Madagascar and Mexican Ancho chili pepper was used.
On tap: 0.20 cl (7€, at the pub).
When poured it is dark brown, the light brown foam is far too abundant for what I expected.
On the nose, notes of dark chocolate in particular, which keeps the toasted and roasted aromas in check.
In the mouth, a beer with a very dense body, although not excessively oily.
The predominant taste is that of (valuable) dark chocolate, within which nuances of almond and hazelnut develop.
The taste develops with very light roasted notes under which a hint of vegetables appears in a very, very delicate and fast way (like the passage of a comet), which with attention you can note to be a taste of pepper (more than chili pepper), given the complete absence of a spicy effect.
The beer closes in a soft, "smooth" way, leaving a hint of drying sensation on the tongue, while the sweetness of the taste echoes on the palate dark chocolate, with delicate notes of toasted almonds.
The alcohol content is absolutely hidden on a taste level, it is perceived in the heat that the beer transmits.
A beer with a good complexity and a great balance, I must honestly admit that the use of Ancho chili pepper, if I had not known of its use in the recipe, I probably would not have identified it as the chocolatey taste is truly enveloping and protagonist.
A caloric and sweet beer, absolutely not cloying... great work (in my opinion) and full and loaded enough to please even many lovers of American-style Imperial Stouts.
In short... in my opinion, many of you would like it too.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Jack_14 for the excellent review, a great way to open the bar today!
Looks like a rainy, dismal morning, so it's appropriate that I start with a dismal beer for which I had high hopes, after yesterday's NBB:

Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Nice label, should have given the artist credit. Weak mango on the nose, no mango on the flavor. Considering this is essentially fermented mangoes, how old is this can? Low price point, but still too high for the lack of (mango) flavor.

    Rating 3.71, rDev -8.6%

Good morning BAs! Morning chores done plus easy 2 mile walk in the park…it’s coffee time - KBS:

Bottled 12/6/24. Poured at 51°. Chocolate bourbon delish, always a breakfast winner.

This afternoon is the 3 day start of the John’s Pass Seafood Festival on Madeira Beach. Weatherman says sunny and mid 80s with low humidity and gusty winds. I plan on picking up some fresh shrimp and crabs for a boil this evening. And a fire in the backyard.

Cheers and have a fabulous Friday y’all!

Hello BAs. At it again I see.
I had a really good time last night at the Schooner Tavern. Just kicked the shite outa another dude's drum kit with my cymbals and rocked the house. Also got the news that two very active local music supporters passed away this week. Oh man. One was a photographer and the other fella, Front Row Paul, would zip around town and go to 4 or 5 different venues per night just to listen to music. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and lived another 5 weeks. He passed on Tues. So, my beers today are for the two Pauls and I raise my glass. They're at the big concert now.
Peaks and valleys, valleys and peaks.
Relaxation and reflection are of importance today so...
From my Half Time haul that I'm finally getting back to and have barely touched:
    Eichbaum Helles
Not too shabby. Great taste & finish.
    Cheers to beers!
