This is what the weekends weather is supposed to be all weekend. Snow, sleet, and rain the final weekend of March. Yuck, my beer fridge is ready! Cheers all.

Looks like another wet day - typical weather around here until the annual drought is declared, following our twenty days of summer.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Final impression and summation: 4.25 Begins as an excellent cinnamon (my favorite spice) roll, not too sweet. As it warms, the cinnamon aspect fades a bit and the whiskey barrels become evident. No cacao presents itself to either my taste or nose. Still, this is the best BBB variant I’ve had in a long time, although the price point is a bit high.

Full review linked above and New Beer Weekend #245 treatment linked here. Short and sweet take, this seems like a blend of Upland's Champagne Velvet offering and Budweiser. Enjoying, not sure if I'll pick this up down the line outside of perhaps a trip to Bloomington.

Wasn't born in a small town, but still enjoy this song, also from Bloomington, Indiana.

ISIL cross-post. Modern Times Beer Monster's Park. An imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, with coconut and cocoa nibs added. 2016 edition. Courtesy of @Nugganooch. Reviews of this release indicate many bottles were infected. When I opened this bottle, I knew right away if this bottle was infected by the smell that emerged. It was pure Almond Joy candy bar. The taste confirmed it. This bottle was not infected. It held up well. This is a delicious bourbon barrel-aged stout.

 

Got an in-law thing this afternoon. Beer there is usually spotty so going with a Stone IPA that i bought today. One month in the can and tasting great. Cheers!

Rainy chilly morning here in Casper.

I bought this yesterday, bottled January 8th. I love the hazelnut flavour and the barrel aging is not overwhelming. Booze is hidden pretty well. Good flavoured Imperial Stout.
