What beer are you drinking now? #4546

Good morning Advocates.
In addition to the photos, a brief description of this beer that I happened to take again after a long time:

Stigbergets Bryggeri (Gothenburg, SVE) - NEW AND IMPROVED! - India Pale Ale (6.5%).

44 cl can (5€ from the fridge of the pub).
On the bottom: "Best before: 10/14/2025".
It's an IPA that I had already drunk some time ago now, with Nelson Sauvin, Citra and Mosaic hops.
Poured it releases aromas of tropical and summer fruit, with notes of ripe citrus.
Rather opaque in appearance, but not in a "dense" way (less than I remembered from past drinks), it makes a good foam that is quite compact to the eye and soft to the drink.
Medium-bodied beer, with perceptible malt notes. Carbonation slightly understated.
In the mouth you find initial notes that recall passion fruit, mango, yellow melon, pineapple and final notes of ripe citrus and pink grapefruit.
Dry finish, but with a bitterness kept VERY under control, leaving no apparent trace on the tongue, while on the palate the notes of tropical fruit salad and ripe oranges remain.
Pleasant, but too anonymous ... it lacks a final bitterness worthy of an IPA. Good product for those starting to take their first steps in the world of craft beers, with hints that are not too pronounced, nor bitter... but rather boring for those looking for a slightly more satisfying drink.
And this element has remained the same as what I remembered.

Have a few hours layover before my connection to France, so enjoying a Fuller’s London Pride in the lounge.

Flying into Toulouse, but then will be driving north a few hours to a town called Brive-la-Gaillarde.

Currently 57F/14C and cloudy - talked to my brother in New Braunfels, TX, last night - mid to high 80s - still too cold to swim in their pool, but the tomato plants are doing well. Here, the lichens in the trees are "doing well."

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Barleywine Volume 10 WiLLiquors from Kros Strain Brewing. Received from @bbtkd 27/03/25 in a LIF associated with BS BIF #2. 16 fl oz can. Reviewed 31/03/25 (Review 3488). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.

Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated can) The toffee is a pleasant change after the caramel of most English Barleywines, but quite good in its own right. The whiskey barrels make their appearance in the background, but shine in the aftertaste. Overall, good!
