What beer are you drinking now? #4546

Dark Mild, a very satisfying English ale from Forest & Main. It's always nice when this Pennsylvania brewery has a Chicago drop.

OK. So that last beer was weak. Some beers make your whole week... others do not.
Here's something much better complete w banana, clove & coriander (great spicy celebrity name: Cory Ander)
Newburgh White Ale

I will add that IMHO a tulip glass is incorrect for this style of beer. All the times I've had Witbier, esp Hoegaarden, in Belgium it is served in a tumbler, not a tulip. Just an observation. Guess it's up to the bartender.

Funny my celebrity name on Drama Advocate is Devon Sprightly:

Finally arrived in Toulouse!

I went for a walk to stretch my legs and found a cool bottle shop / liquor store. The guy that worked there spoke English about as poorly as I speak French, but we made it work. Beer, the great unifier.

All of these beers are brewed in France and they still use nomenclature like NEIPA or WCIPA, which is interesting.

Not going to crack them tonight, just gonna go to the brasserie for a quick 1664 beer and maybe some snacks because I’m beat.

 

I love alter ego stuff...

 

I know, it's not a beer, but damn it's tasty. BlackBerry & apple cider.
If it means anything to anyone, I just had a Miller High Life before this, lol.
I went to the beer store today to stock up on "birthday" month beers.
I spent way more money than I was hoping, but came home with a nice stash of some never had before brews, and a few favorites.
Now the hardest part, waiting for them to chill.
