I have the same problem, same chimney cap. I think of it as revenge for our neighbors’ constantly barking dogs.

I love these birds BTW, and the Steller’s jays I’ve been seeing around lately. I just don’t need them taking residence in my walls.

Double Sunshine and a fried oyster Caesar salad

I harvested a bunch of oysters last Saturday and culled the big ones out for frying.

I agree, they are a nice looking bird. I have a suet feeder hanging in my yard and they love it. That might be a solution to keep them off your house

 

My son and I are trying Burial's Between Now and Death. Their mislabeled/marketed beer, they simply are calling an IPA when in fact it is a NEIPA. Nevertheless, this is a good beer.

 

Wow those oysters look tasty. Besides the beer on this site we have a lot of members that make some fine looking food each day.

We had a bird feeder at our old house and I’ll never forget going out there one night and seeing it absolutely crawling with rats. Big ones. Probably more than a dozen. I’ll never put up another bird feeder, at least not while I live in the city. Even if I wanted to, my wife wouldn’t allow it.
