Curious what your take is on Jai Alai now that Wayne Wambles was let go.
I don't find it much in Cali. but I was able to score from a place in my area called Mission Wine and Liquor. It was only a month old. I thought it was still good.

Looks like Wayne is starting over in North Carolina

Sorry, story time

I saw Arlo when I was at college at Southern Illinois. Actually, I had already graduated, but was still hanging around for a year or so...but Arlo did a series of shows. He took the train from Chicago, as far south as he could playing at each stop. It was the City of New Orleans tour, and a charity event for New Orleans after Katrina. It just happened to be on the same night that John Prine played on campus at SIU. I saw Prine, ran down to the dive bar Arlo was playing at, and what do you know, Prine showed up there as well to play a few songs together. That was a great night.

Now, I have tickets to see Sarah Lee Guthrie (Arlo's youngest daughter) play in a couple of weeks...really looking forward to that.

 

For me it is a lovely 500ml bottle of O’ Hara’s Leann Folláin extra Irish stout. A lovely double dry stout that has a nice light vanilla ice cream sweetness, strong dark crumbly roasted 80 percent dark chocolate, light sweeter coffee and followed by earthy hops. A classic that despite its stronger strength and heavier body is just as drinkable while being flavoursome, than its single dry stout stablemate.

 

I saw him live at the Worcester Auditorium in 1969 when he released that tune. That was a great show!!

 

I have a good stock of Mongo at the moment. It was on sale again at the local grocery. Good stuff. Cheers!

 

He was quite a bit older when I saw him ha. Still, got to see a lot of cool acts between Champaign (University of Illinois) and Carbondale (Southern Illinois University) when I wandered back and forth from both for a while, long story ha.

Brau Bros's Moo Joos S'mores Oatmeal Milk Stout......Very flavorful, easy stout. Smore flavors but not overly sweet.

 

Creature Comforts Tropicalia . Dinner in about an hour. fajitas from some pork that has been marinating for 24 hours , mix it with some corn,rice ,peppers onions, tomatoes will skillet toast the tortilla .

 

I really enjoy it at less than 4-5 weeks old. The 12 pack I got last week at Total wine was canned on 3/17 (fucking amazing, i see IPA's older than 12 months there). @DoctorZombies prolly had Jai Alai 5-7 years before I ever did (before Canarchy and Monster fucked it up for money) and can speak to the early years. Our youngest daughter's boyfriend is a brewer at Infinite in Ocala and Sky Puppy in Tampa so the whole "corporate do anything for revenue" pisses me off. I get it that Larry Bell ran Bell's for like 36 years and then sold it to retire, he waaaaay paid his dues. Sorry for the rant, no 4/1 joke it's what it is.

@TCgenny strikes again, never heard of Mortalis Brewing until he cracked my concrete with a box containing some. I have a bad habit of saying "this is as good a a IPA from XXX" not this time. This is a fucking amazing DIPA, Hera!!! Mouthful, nose & and taste is awesome!!!

Watching some IU baseball (against Louisville) and first time trying anything from this Pittsburgh brewery. (And it's a "good'n"!!)
