    Good afternoon!

La goudale which has about replaced my reputation as « Leffe Guy » here, bit underserved by the way. I’ve had many different beers other than those. :stuck_out_tongue:

Some of you may remember I went through a phase years ago about country music… beyond just legends like Merle Haggard or Johnny cash… I was listening to a local radio airing mostly this genre, which has unfortunately disappeared and closed shop since.

I've got today off, so I might as well join in. My dear friend @Alefflicted and I split a 4 pack of this, and damn, it's tasty.

From a 11.2 oz bottle. Not sure, but I think the date on the bottle is the 71st day of 2023.

It looked somewhat clear till I poured rverything into the bottle. It has a murky dark golden color to it. There's a 1 finger white head to this beer that has good head retention. There's some clingy looking lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
There's a nice sharp tartness to this beer I got while pouring it. Up close it is quite intense and pleasing. Nice tart fruit aroma. There's a nice earthy part to the aroma that is pleasing.
Taste - There's a nice sour tartness to this beer This hits right away, but isn't overpowering. It has a slight pucker factor to it. There's hints of the malts and grains that seem to be missing from a lot of beers that have this flavor profile. I get a hint of cereal in this beer and it's a nice add on to the sour/tartness that hits on the backside as the tart/sour mellows. I also get a hint of a honey like sweetness in this part as well.
Very nice feeling beer. Very full bodied. There's a bit of a bubbly feeling to it. The feeling of the tart/sour does linger in my throat.
Wow, this is a delicious beer and I am glad I got to try it. Delicious, and I'd drink again.

Good Day BAs! Thanks @MadMadMike for opening the bar!

Yesterday was partially sunny and cold - today's starting off the same. Today's New Breakfast Beer is not the same as yesterday's:

The can is similar to yesterday's, but the beer isn't, despite probably sharing the same origins.

Imperial Stout Stranahan’s 24 Month BA from Kros Strain Brewing. Received from @bbtkd 27/03/25 in a LIF associated with BS BIF #2. 16 fl oz can. Reviewed 02/04/25 (Review 3490). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) The relatively thin body makes it seem more like a porter than a stout, possibly accentuating the uncomfortable gastric burn. Flavor and aroma are both OK but not up to the standard set by yesterday’s Double Barrel Imperial Stout. Overall, an OK but not great Imperial Stout.

    Rating 4.16, rDev -3.5%

Thanks Tom! I'm glad I got to try this, but I'll just pass this up if I find any this summer.

It does taste ok, but the flavor does seem way light for what the nose let on. I am surprised I haven't had this yet.

From a 16oz can. No date on the can.

This is a clear and bubbly looking beer. The color of the beer is golden, and there's a 2 finger white head. The head retention is decent, and there's some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is full-on cereal grain. The grain aroma is so intense and pleasing. There's slight floral hints to this beer as well.
Taste - The flavor seems less intense than the nose let on. There's a grain flavor to this beer and it is cereal in nature, but it is very weak.
The body does seem decent. It is somewhat smooth and silky feeling.
This beer is good, but the flavor seems way less than the nose let on.

Back at the hotel, having an excellent Blonde Ale from Pantin, a suburb of Paris to the Northeast. I stayed with a friend at his place there many years ago, so I was sure to let him know that even Pantin has craft brewing these days.

Good morning BAdvocates. Drinking an Elysian Dark o' the Moon Pumpkin Stout on this chilly 37 degree Wednesday. Supposed to get up to 46 this afternoon and then start gradually warming up over the next several days.

This is my favorite of the variety pack. Cinnamon upfront with a chocolate finish that is well balanced by grainy malts.

Cheers everyone, and have a great day

Happy Weiner Wednesday BA's! Sideward Brewing Moon Boots IPA with the wiener. Today we have the Cowboy Candy dog. We have our all beef dog topped with raspberry cream cheese, candied jalapeños (don’t worry Ted we took the seeds out), and a raspberry sweet and sour sauce, served with a side of charro beans!
