No need. The other pics worked as links, except that one. Now I realize that one works if you right click and open image in new tab. I tagged you after I realized this, but you might have missed the post. Thanks again!

It's called a bitter by the brewery -- "pale zesty refreshing bitter" - but it's dry and very citrusy - I'm calling it what it is -- a Jarl clone essentially - aka American Pale Ale.:beers:

Jarl uses American hops and Orkney doesn't. But hey, I enjoy some poetic license.
It does use some continental Euro hops though. I wasn't tryin' to nitpick, just pointing it out in case it helps. Thanks for the pics BTW!

    Jealous of you all.

I’ll be more jealous at the cold kids soccer game tomorrow as well.

They said if a session is sold out they will sell tickets at the door at 7:30 if they haven’t reached capacity. They just started doing that now for tonight’s session

“Was it really true there are elephants and lions too in Piccadilly Circus?”. Nice traditional Best Bitter by an American artist.

NERAX has been my favorite fest by far for many years, though unfortunately I haven;'t been for a couple of years now. Not going to make it this year either - I had hopes, but not happenning. I have to work tomorrow, then head to the kiddo's hockey game in Somerville starting at 6. If it was still at the old Dilboy (or at the new Dilboy,) I'd see if I could figure out how to get there for a pint or two...
My modus operandi has been to get mostly 1/4 pints, so I could try more beers that way, occasionally getting a half or even less frequesntly a full - that HF would have rated a full, I suspect, presuming they were pulling fulls. Some beers that would hav ebeen in demand they would limit to 1/2 at the most.
Back in the day I would have to get a full, then get right back in line, which took long enough to get through that I'd finish up by the time I got back to the front.

Finally got to Nerax last night. Incredible event. I stuck to mostly 5 oz pours and was able to try lots of stuff. I stayed with only UK beers, save for one (can’t remember the US brewery, but the name was “Proper Chap” and it was fantastic). All the UK stuff was superb.

The vibe was great, as was the folks who ran the event. The reaper thing cracked me up.

Can’t believe it took me this long to get there. I can see myself being a regular from now on.

I just went back through the program to decipher which beers I actually tried. Here are the ones I had, in order of which I enjoyed the most

Anything Goes from Nene Valley Brewery (this beer was fantastic)
Gold from Purity (This is the only one for which I went back for another pour)
Proper Chap from Nod Hill Brewery*
    Bright from Brass Castle Brewery
Harrogate Pale Ale from Harrogate Brewing Co.
    Silkie from Loch Lomond Brewery
    Everlasting from Attic Brew Co.

*Only offering from a US brewery I tried. All others are from the UK

I went opening night, this is 2nd year in a row and quite enjoyed again. Stuck to 5oz pours and tried 15 brews (14 from UK) all from breweries I’d not had before. Last year I had mostly milds and bitters this year more ipa it seemed. I think the Red IPA called Ox Blood was my fav

I'm bummed tha t I missed the Ox Blood. I loved the red IPA Sierra Nevada did years ago (think it was called Flipside?) and enjoy "Flannel Friday" the seasonal release from Harpoon that is an Amber IPA. Oh well, perhaps another time.
