    1) Drekker Good Company (4.8%): A German-style Helles lager from North Dakota with flavors of pale Munich malt, some light bread and cracker notes. Clean.
    versus
    2) Utepils Helles (5.1%): A German-style Helles lager from Minnesota with flavors of earthy Munich malt, smooth honey, rich bread. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    Drekker vs Utepils Helles battle. First is Drekker Good Company. First try at this one. Nice smooth pale malts, some faint honey with crackery notes. Fairly dry and drinks clean.
    Next is Utepils, one of my favorite German Helles lagers. More toasted, and earthy Munich malt flavors. Complex, smooth and flavorful. One of Utepils best beers.
    Winner: Utepils Helles

    Greetings Advocates! Notch Brewing is one of those breweries I hopes to get to try sooner than later. Well, sooner came. Got my hands on their Black Lager from Little Beer Fest. Did not disappoint. Fine example of Czech style Dark Lager. I'm digging it. You folks that have Notch available to you are lucky ducks! Cheers!
