Quite new here. But I'm trying to try all the beers right now, well maybe not all. But all of the lager/pilsner beers, considering ales, but not IPAs.

I haven't had beer since 2013, but since I recently became able to have carbonated drinks again, I figured I'd see which beers I enjoy now that I'm in my 30s.

Azacca, Mosaic, Citra
Neat combo of hops: never tried Azacca which is a Mosaic/ Amarillo multiplier, origin from the the Japanese variety Toyomidori. Taste is a punchy mango pineapple tarty lime. It’s really delic and and a crispy change of feel from the classic TH ipa I just finished. StrangeBird brewey is a Rochester brewery downtown that I have been hearing top notch reviews, I went with my boss for some brews after a baseball game last summer and it was closed (lol I never in a million years hang out out with the boss), and so I’ve picked up some 4s at wegmans recently.

Yes, that’s my next new brewery visit on my mind for a while.

My Buddy @mickyge says this is the preferred version.
My other buddy @russpowell votes the Elvis version. Now, I’ve not been on BA too long, but back in the day, kids, we LNBA would/ could post two songs. Yeah, back in the day. I thought LNBA was a professional Woman’s basketball league, but @eppCOS teached me the facts, he’s good , educationally sound.

Whatever this Fantome Nuit Nour aged in Calvados barrels is, it is definitely not a saison. A strong ale perhaps. Not much carbonation pop on opening, so I was nervous, but the body is still intact. There’s a load of tannin and a fair amount of…mossy peat?…in the fkavor. I never had Calvados to my recollection, maybe a JW Lee’s. Overall an interesting drink, maybe not worth $14, but the 16% will ease my assessment.

 

The Bruery's Mistah Nice Pie Strong Ale........Different. Sweeter, lots of chocolate and creme notes.

Guitar of choice this evening. I plan on using it on my next tune which is a jazz piece. Just working out ideas since there are some tricky changes in the tune.

A pound of shrimp scampi.. Lots of garlic! I am sure the ladies are not impressed.
