Good day BAs! Thanks to @The_Kriek_Freak for opening the bar today - airport beer possibly?
Another typical shoulder day between winter and summer here - cold and rainy, just miserable outside. Fortunately, I've got beer to sooth my troubled brow:

Unfortunately, you see what it is. A massively overpriced average-tasting, etc, etc, etc.

Black Gold 2024 from Epic Brewing. Purchased at Franklin Beer (Franklin, PA) 11/03/25. 16 fl oz can, $ 15.00 (Including tax)/ $ 0.937 fl oz. Reviewed 10/04/25 (Review 3499). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Funny – I always thought the purpose in brewing an imperial stout was to combine high alcohol with great flavors. But apparently the goal at Epic, for this beer at least, is to produce the least flavorful high alcohol version of their base stout as possible. They’ve succeeded. And at $15/16 fl oz can it isn’t a steal – it’s theft. One and done – fool me once, shame on you – fool me twice, shame on me!

    Rating 3.26, rDev -16.8%

Actually, I've never done a minor point deduction for beers with no mfr/exp date stamp. I think I might start doing that. Good call! Cheers! :beers:

At Café Heuvel in Amsterdam, drinking a Jopen Mooie Nell 6.5% IPA. A nice light IPA with a malt backbone but nicely hoppy. Cheers.

I do it because canned/bottled beers can sit on shelves for years before I run across them - if I choose to drink an old, dated beer, that's on me. If the brewer is too cheap/lazy/inconsiderate to date their beers, then they should only sell them on tap, IMO.

That was one we had at my New years eve bonfire and it was indeed a head scratcher; we decided it wasn't one of those we would revisit.

East Bank, a saison with honey from Casey. It could have used more honey in my opinion as it's pretty tart. Not bad, though.
