Having this delicious offering from Berkshire Brewing next

 

Anderson Valley The Pilsner. No can dating. Poor head retention and lacing. Aromas of big apple/pear fruit, cracker, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine. Too fruity of a nose. Taste is spot on: cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, wood, peppercorn, pine, light yeast earthiness. Light-medium pine, woody, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and crisp/clean/refreshing finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Nearly bone dry finish with no lingering resins. A bit too yeasty in aromas, but taste is cleaner on lager flavors. Not a bad attempt at the style. 3.85/5

I've had a couple with this hop. Weird name yes. But I liked it. And it does have a watermelon like flavor - but not sweet. I will look it up but I had two and one was from either EQ or Other Half.

 

Things Behind Things Behind Things, a vanilla bean Doppelbock from Autodidact and Icarus Brewing. Last beer of the weekend for me. I can't believe how quickly it flew by. Cheers and have a great week, everyone!

Kostritzer Schwarzbier (4.8%): A German Schwarzbier with flavors of dark grains, hints of cocoa, earthy Munich malt and light roast. Clean.

Very clean and drinkable Schwarzbier while watching the Masters.

 

Crazy . . . we had two inches of snow on the ground the morning, now totally gone. A Sip of Sunshine, indeed!

 

Gah! Cannot believe Rory missed that putt.

Full New Beer Sunday #1051 treatment linked here. Bottom line, this is a nice cap off to the weekend, bursting with pineapple, tangerine and citrus, with enough hops presence to bitter and balance nicely, beyond the slight hop burn.

Stone IPA (6.9% canned 1/27/2025): A West-Coast IPA with flavors of bitter lemon, apricot, orange, and resinous pine.

Another one of these to finish off and nod to Rory Mcllroy for an amazing achievement.
