1) Third Space Good Cheer (5.4%): A German Dunkel from Wisconsin with flavors of dark grains, cocoa, oak and earth, faint roast.
versus
2) Phase Three P3 Winter Lager (5.0%): A German Dunkel from Chicago with flavors of brown bread, caramel, (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

German Dunkel Battle. First is Third Space. Smooth caramel and brown bread flavors. Smooth. Next is Phase Three. Dark grains, brown bread, some nutty and yeasty notes. Clean.
Both are great. Third Space is a little sweeter and I think I prefer the Phase Three flavor and dryness here.
Winner: Phase Three P3 Winter Lager

 

Unfortunately, cooking some seafood does reek and is not a pleasant kitchen aroma. We had a guy at work who would heat up some sort of fish dish in the microwave in the kitchenette area and they had to ban fish dishes because it stunk up the area so bad, and not in a pleasant way. I used to wonder how the hell he could eat something that smelled so damn foul. Besides the obnoxious smell, nobody wanted to use the microwave afterwards to heat their own lunches. Cheers!!

 

Just finished the Traeger prep for 0:dark hundred for tomorrow's Boston Pork Butt smoking. Enjoying an Atomic Torpedo now.

Czech amber is one of the more underappreciated beer styles out there. When done right it is quite enjoyable
