Somewhere In Particular The Natty. Great pilsner. Aromas and flavors of lemon, pear, apple, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, wood, peppercorn, light pine, and yeast earthiness. Light to medium pine, herbal, spicy bitter finish. Medium plus carb, light body, and crisp clean refreshing finish. Balanced bready grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Nearly bone dry finish, no hop astringency. A bit yeasty but a spot on German style pilsner. 4/5

Pours a pale purple color, cloudy, red grapefruit color in the glass; thin, white head. Excellent blueberry character in the smell; fruity. Flat, watery taste; a bit of blueberry flavor; faded, nearly imperceptible wheat cracker in the background. Weak and watery mouthfeel overall; medium-light feel; touch of dryness.

This flavored wheat beer doesn't have much going for it other than the aroma.

Drowned Lands Brewing Kinsfolk Dopplebock, 8% ABV.

I added this to the database, and thanks to the Mods for already updating the name...I swear I wasn't even drinking yet but I misspelled Kinsfolk ha.

Pours a dark brown color with some reddish highlights around the edges. At first a dense beige head forms, but that fizzles out to a ring quickly. Not much lace left behind either.
Aroma of baked bread and hard candy/caramelized sugars, dark fruit aromas. Not particularly complex, but enjoyable.
Taste wise, that baked brown bread again up front. Which is nice. Candy sugary sweetness, and dark fruits of cherries. The sweetness becomes a little cloying for me.
A medium body and moderate carbonation. This could be a bit fuller and creamier for my preference for the style. Not hard to drink, but I'm also looking for something else rather quickly.

This is almost the opposite of their Ploughshare Altbeir for me. As that one drank bigger than the ABV suggests, this is lighter than you would expect for the style and ABV. Mix that with the cloying sweetness, and its not upper tier for me. Some earthy bitterness would do wonders to balance. As is, not bad at all, but an average attempt at the style for an American brewery.

    Overall score is 3.56, B

Pours a clear amber brown color; excellent carbonation; thick head, off-white, sudsy, long-lasting. Fine aroma; notes of dark roasted grains, toffee, light brown sugar, low-key earthy spiciness in the background. Fantastic flavor; roasted hickory and hazelnut; excellent offsetting bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate; finishes with a touch of dryness.

This is a finely crafted German style beer. It is nicely balanced and fairly complex with its taste profile. Easy drinking.

Brewers note : Native to Maine woodlands, Azure Bluets appear where they are least expected. To many, they are a welcome first sign of spring, appearing in early April as the snow begins to melt. They pepper the ground in tufts of tiny stars with pale blue petals and a yellow center.

This Kölsch style ale recipe stemmed from the Black Barn Program, and has since grown to become a perennial favorite.

A Dark in the Light, a black IPA from Radiant. Brought and shared one of these with the cool folks at Mugihigeya last week; bringing them some other stuff next week.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Can is dated...I thought it was dated. But I can't find a date on this one. Bought it in California a couple weeks ago.

Pours black, not dense, medium sized head. Head settles into a thick, generous skin that clings fairly high along the side of the glass. Smell is roasty, toffee, and pine. A little coffee, a little plum skin.

Taste is even roastier, more pine and grapefruit resin, some burnt biscuit, some dark toasted pecan.

Mouthfeel is light, clean, smooth. Nice beer. I love black IPAs.

I have about 15+ new beers in the fridge. Yea, I know 1st world problems.
This is a StrangeBird (one word) Tigre, a West Coast IPA. Beer was a gift from @TCgenny.
I visited this brewery for beer and pizza last year. SInce then they have grown quite a good reputation. I love that their cans have plenty of information, ABV, IBU, hops. Unfortunately this can had an illegible date. Anyways............
Gifted from a fellow BA in an iced shipment arriving cold. Refrigerated immediately and until served. Poured from a 16 oz undated can to a bulbous, tulip-like glass.
Pours out deep gold. Almost clear, but not quite, certainly not hazy. The head is small but thick, about ⅜”/10mm. It settles to a single layer in about 2 minutes, but revives itself to be a little thicker after a glass tilt for a sip. Lacing is pretty, but fleeting.
The aroma is not that strong. Subtle citrus and berry, but I have to struggle to find that.
In the mouth this has all the hallmarks of an old school West Coast IPA. A brief sense of bready malt is followed by some resiny hop sense that bitters out nicely in the finish.
The mouthfeel is slightly oily, adding to the body actually. Carbonation is a little light, but it works.
I’m a sucker for what nowadays is the few and far between West Coast IPA. This definitely scratches that itch in taste. Although the body is not clear, I can ignore that, it's just a style checkbox. This beer tastes good and that's what counts.

Forager Brewery and Humble Forager Brewery Elm. A barrel-aged English barleywine. It is aged 33 months in rye barrels, with organic golden figs, and Equadorian vanilla beans. Courtesy of our host, @Beersnake. The look is black, with a slight brown tint. No foam appeared when pouring the beer. The smell is caramel apple, spices, fig, vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel, and rye whiskey. The taste is spiced apple, leather, tobacco, vanilla, caramel, fig, marshmallow, and rye whiskey. It is sweet, but perfectly so. This is exquisite. The taste is delightful. The mouthfeel is smooth, balanced, bready, thick, and full, with light-medium carbonation. Overall, this is in my top three of barrel-aged barleywines. It is an incredible beer. Thank you so much, @Beersnake!

    Another new one:

Great Burn - Wee Heavy Scotch Ale

    Notes:
P deep mahogany w/ a 1f foamy khaki head, decent retention, hvy lace
N soft to soft med bready and plum notes w/ a light sweetness
T pleasant, lots of hearty dark bready malt, just a touch of grassiness and plum, simple, satisfying, bit of earthiness lingers, moderate sweetness, light toastiness detected
Mf med to med full bodied, med carb
O not a lot of depth, but a decent drinker nonetheless

    Cheers, friends!

I saw this at my local bottle shop, but I passed. $10 for a single Kolsch was a bit much for me, I know thats probably hypocritical of me as I pay close to that for some of their IPA's. Though I love Maine, and I'm sure I would really enjoy it...I don't know, maybe I give it a go one of these days.
