    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

    Clear, medium amber color; excellent carbonation; thick, off-white head, semi-creamy with a rolling, sculpted top. Very nice aroma; light toasted malt with a hint of honey; pleasant esters; delicate freshly cut apple and pear. Decent taste; gently warm toasted grains; biscuit and bread crust; mild hop bitterness.; somewhat brash, metallic bitterness at the finish. Medium-body; a bit thin and watery; crisp.

    The taste and mouthfeel comes across a tad weak, but this otherwise is a decent stab at the Vienna lager style.

    ...the beer's taste improves as it warms up...

    I had a serving of scrapple last week, and it was glorious. This beer is great, but it cannot beat a good slab of scrapple on your plate :wink:

    At Great Heights Brewing this afternoon.

    Had a couple full proper 20 oz pints of their Snecklifter Dark Mild. Just about to finish this 700 page monster of a book. In the last two weeks I have read nearly 1400 pages of translated Yiddish literature...not sure what that says about me being a lapsed Irish Catholic (especially around Easter, buy hey it was Passover when I first started this ha), but I'm always interested in other cultures. Especially how faith and tradition shapes that culture, even if its not for me :slight_smile:

    Then on down the road to a little place called Millie's. They have great seafood. With a dozen huge oysters...uhm I don't think this would be considered kosher ha...but its great and you can ignore or not the equally great Citadel Gin Martini.
