Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Kratos from Mortalis Brewing. Received from their website 20/04/25. 16.9 fl oz capped and waxed bottle, $ 41.76 (Including shipping & tax)/ $ 2.47/fl oz. Reviewed 24/04/25 (Review 3513).
Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Unsigned label art – some kind of battle-axe. For my taste at least, peanuts taste much better in a chocolate stout than peanut butter. And, at least initially, I can taste the marshmallow. Overall, a good stout but more than a bit overpriced. That’s why it’s called “disposable income.”

Good morning BAdvocates. Bit of a slow start here today, eh? Well I’m drinking an excellent Sierra Nevada Rad Little Thing on this gorgeous Thursday. Today should hit 70 before a cool down into the 60’s and then low 50’s. Might even be some more snow in the mountains.

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (2019)



Full cellar review take linked here. Bottom line, this held up very well, six months beyond the recommended five year window. Bourbon emerges and strengthens beyond the 30 minute mark, base flavors popping and very enjoyable. A great stout as usual.
