9 or 10 years ago it became a hazy. Didn’t start out that way. I wouldn’t classify it as a hazy so much as an unfiltered ipa.

 

'bout to hit Chicago again in early May and I really hope it coincides with Tuna release.... been too long, on draft at least.

Any other insider knowledge about May releases at HA? Peace.

 

There appears to be an upcoming collaboration, Daisy Cutter Union, with Firestone Walker. Possibly brewed for Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival in early June. There was the Trailing West Pils collab last year around the same time anyway (brewed at FW). DCU is a 7% WCIPA with HQG#4, Krush & Simcoe. Just speculating so it's quite possible none of this could be true.

Also, appears to be another DDC variant at some point, Nebula Double Daisy Cutter. Again, no helpful date for you, sorry.

Good news in HA shared the release details of both Daisy Cutter Union and Nebula DDC. Possibly bad news for you timing-wise in that the releases are not until 21 May.

Limited distro of both 4pks through June. And DCU party with FW on 14 June as well.

 

Yeah, thanks again - got the e-mail blast that announced it, too bad I won't be in town when it releases, but hopefully we get a little distro-drop here in CO. Cheers...

Got the email the past week as well. Hoping Union will make it out to Binny's.

 

Anyone try the new Reef Knot Lager? Had it on tap at Beer on the Wall in Elmhurst and also bought a 12 pack at Binnys. Very solid.

From their website: Throwing a bullseye at an easy sunshine lager designed to drop anchor on that Forever Summer feeling knotted up inside you. The floral lemon & hay aromas paired with earthy spice from Noble hops are well-balanced by lightly toasted honey malt. Flawlessly clear gold under a white foam cap, this squeaky clean, cracker crisp lager coasts on minimal bitterness & a moderate 4.5% ABV. No need to look at the calendar, Summer’s in the can.

 

Just a little love note for Skip Jack XPA, because for only 4.5%.... I love the profile of this beer.
I mean, my can (right now) is three months+ old, and it's holding on. Great carbonation, foam, color, transparency, Nelson profile, but whatever this HBC 1019 (hop) is adding... I'm here for it.

It might come and go, or never reappear, but what a great little beer. We need more of these.

Tried them both last week, Union is really good. Nebula is a hazy.

 

Can the new collabos be found at Binnys or brewery only?

Edit- I searched Binnys website and it says some stores do but their website isn’t always that accurate

 

Is Nebuler hazy? No haze for me

 

i went and had to ask because they were hiding it in the back

it makes me wonder how many good beers i might want to but are hiding at all times

 

What Binny's collab are we discussing? I must have missed it.

 

I think everyone is talking about the Firestone collab being found at Binny’s.
