What beer are you drinking now? #4580

My dad has been getting chemo for lymphoma for the last several months. He read something that he shouldn't drink while getting treatment which is probably best. So he hasn't had a drink in almost 6 months. He saw a Dr on Friday who said it'd be alright to have a couple drinks a week. So I picked him up his fave and we're splitting it. Second Fiddle. Cheers!

 

I mentioned yesterday the spaghetti sauce I was preparing—well this morning at 8:30 I began cooking it. It’s now in simmer mode—I just top it off with crushed tomatoes as more will fit in the pot. Also got some of that cleaning done that I referred to.

Now out on the patio, listening to my ‘70s playlist, enjoying a Fremont Coalescence, a relatively affordable barrel-aged blend. Will post a review over on NBW momentarily. Cheers!

Snagged this on a different kind of green run earlier. My body is really hurting today. Both knees and my back. Not sure why, but both knees can only bend about 30 degrees today. Getting old can be challenging.

American IPA. Picked this up at Warwick Farm Brewery last night. Can definitely pick up the Chinook and Simcoe hops. A little thin but decently bitter with some kind of lemon zest thing going on.

Good Sunday afternoon, BAs! We had a lot of work done in our yard yesterday, including reseeding areas that never recovered from last summer's drought. So I'm glad it's raining today. In fact, we'll be receiving rain for the next few days. Thankful for that!

I'm slowly sipping on my last new, 2025, variant of Brix City Brewing's Silk City Imperial Stout. This one was aged in rum barrels. I'm not a rum drinker but this is tasty stuff. I just reviewed it on the NBW thread. Cheers!
