    It is a real pleasure to finally try this legendary beer. Triple India pale ales can be a tricky beer to craft. Many that I've had are just too harsh and somewhat syrupy. Pliny the Younger deftly brings everything together in a balanced and complex manner which makes this a very approachable beer for the style. The higher ABV is noticeable but doesn't go overboard with things. That is the beauty of this beer. It masterfully combines all the sensory aspects of beer into a finally honed creation, ultimately making for a very satisfying beer drinking experience.

    This brought a smile to my face right at the time a little something got into my eye.

    Does she have any instructions or suggestions that there might be some beer worth bringing home from said trip, if she had a notion?

    Got home from Ocelot and started some black beans for dinner tonight. Decided to pour a Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale from Dogfish Head. Bought this a month and a half ago, and it has balanced out a bit more than the pretty balanced beer I recall it being. Simple and tasty, more or less.

    608' DIPA from Hidden Sands Brewing Company in Egg Harbor City, NJ. Brewed with Pilsner, rye, and flaked oats, and hopped with Amarillo, Centennial, and Mosaic. Most of the beers from this brewery are meh but I could drink this one every day. Cheers!

    Truth is such a great IPA. Is Bomb just a bigger version is does it taste like a different beer?

    ...this is truly my last whale...it seems to show up occasionally at bars and taprooms around town, but the thought of being in a crowd and only getting a small pour of the beer never thrilled me...as I mentioned, it was through the kindness of @MutuelsMark who sent me this beer (unsolicited on my part)...now all I have to do is keep my fingers crossed that DDH Pliny the Elder shows up in my parts again...

    ...personally, for the Pliny variants I've had, the DDH PtE is tops, then regular PtE, and I'd put PtY in at third (although, being a TIPA, it is a different animal - just like I actually prefer Blind Pig over PtE, but again, two different styles...

    ...hey, great Zoom meeting last night...thought I'd only be there for a little bit, but, as usual, things get more interesting as the night progresses, and so I found myself close to the end (I assume)...
