    I love chili pepper beers and was surprised to discover this one from Ohio. Above all, balanced flavors are key but with a nod to a solid chili pepper flavor. Also getting a lasting head on a chili pepper beer can be a challenge for some breweries (something about the pepper oils, I believe). This beer delivers the chili beer goods. Bold and lively without being overpowering.

    ...they're all fairly close...without looking at my numbers, I'd rank my top RR IPAs as 1) DDH PtE, 2) Blind Pig, 3) PtE, and 4) PtY...their other offerings such as Docta-Ron and Happy Hops are good, too, but the 'big' ones are my favorites...and for practical purposes, BP is my real go-to as it and PtE are the ones I commonly find here in Colorado Springs...

    A Helles from Eerywhere called Beautiful Something. CO 04/24 with a4.8% ABV. Has lemon and wine notes, light on malts , has some similarities to SN Summerfest. 81 on the patio with some storms coming this evening.

    After all that pepper beer bashing on zoom last night, that is a great beer right there. Mosaic and Simcoe hops are the right stuff. I need to see if I can find a 4 pack next time I am in Ohio, their site doesn't list it anymore :astonished:
