    Foreign Export Stout from Reuben's Brews in Seattle

    Pleasant roasty aroma. Moderately sweet and quite bitter. Grainy taste softened by cocoa and then perked up with some coffee in the aftertaste. But still bitter without the usual hoppy flavors, or at least I don't get them. This has some pleasant roasted malt flavors but it is just too scorched and over-hopped to drink much of.

    Good day BAs! Off to a damp, chilly start to another typical summer day here on the tundra of NW PA. Today's New (to me) Breakfast Beer:

    Big Bad Baptist Chocolate Mint from Epic. Purchased from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA, 26/04/25. 22 fl oz bottle, $14.00 (Including tax), $ 0.637/fl oz. Reviewed 06/05/25 (Review 3524). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
    Final impression and summation: 3.75 Uncredited label artist. Faint mint, little chocolate, no coffee. Maybe it just didn’t hold up well, but three years isn’t THAT long for an Imperial Stout. Anyway, not one I’d buy (or drink) again. In fact, I may just dump the remainder of this one.

    Buenas noches from Toledo Spain. Just arrived at the hotel and enjoying Garage Beer Santako WCIPA with the city in the background. Pretty lean with good bitterness. Es bastante buena. And a photo of La Plaza de España in Seville. Cheers!
