Back on Summerfest ba,

W/ another beef taco night. Out go to quick and easy meal. Just simple jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese,

 

Looking good! Did you steam or fry them? I never tried frying them.

 

Wow. That procedure sounds like it may have risks involved. What did the Dr. say about just having the cataract surgery and what detriment to not having it is ?

 

You have been putting out a lot of great food pics sir.

 

No frying LOL . just put them in the sauce pan after cleaning . Filled with water white wine and garlic for steaming.

He said I could have the cataract surgery on that eye but the results may not be ideal. Something about not being able to determine the size or scope of the artificial lens to use. I wonder why my regular eye doc who I have been seeing since the dawn of time didn’t tell me about the corneal scars?

 

Indeed. When i see clams /oysters ,i always think of Mike our house professional on seafood.

I kind of thought you added water and basically steamed them like I do. I just happen to use a pot. I wonder how folks cook them on a charcoal grill?

 

Maybe get a 2nd look/opinion. Some doctors just want to do procedures when they may or may not be needed.

 

Still in Texas, still love this beer.

 

I think they would be good on the grill, i know oysters are. . Never tried a clam. I use a shallow sauce pan when steaming clams or oysters.

For tonight's dining pleasure. I have cracked open a Obolon Kyiveke Stout from Kyiv Ukraine. Pretty good stout. Not very dark. More of a light bodied stout. Not terrible, but just there.

 

The Nightman Leaveth. A rye milk stout by Odd Side Ales. 11% with a nice rye presence. Cheers.
