Early morning visit to the VA to have my abdominal aneurisms scanned. Although I quit smoking tobacco 11 years ago, the 40 years I did smoke apparently now a reason to have checked regularly. Anyway, a couple of "light" beers will have to do today. This is actually full of flavor for a NA beer. Cheers.

 

A bummer, but somewhat expected…I just found out from my MRI that I have a torn bicep and a severed tendon. Felt like it was bad but lived thru it. Surgery is next Tuesday.
One fear is I might never return to my glory days (see pic). My bigger fear is not being able to drink for a while because of meds.

Drekker There Was A Time (6.9% no canning date): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Nectaron, HBC 1019 and Sultana for flavors of green coconut, pineapple, tangerine flower, and orange creamsicle.

Fresh release from Drekker. Some interesting hop combos Has almost a green coconut guava flavor similar to Sabro. I think the HBC 1019 is providing the nuance here with some of the coconut, orange, and stonefruit flavor. Some pine to balance, but finish is smooth. Nice as always from Drekker.

This guy does amazing restoration work and I love watching his videos. He knows all the little tricks and has an impressive array of tools at his disposal. Fascinating to watch, and this latest one was an interesting project - restoring a 1930's marine toilet. Came out great, and I love that he always tests his stuff out at the end. Pretty chill and fun to watch.If you're mechanically inclined, you'll probably enjoy watching it, even if you're not mechanically inclined ...
