Great looking beer! Also a great song, it was on the first album I bought many, many years ago!

 

Andechs Mai-bock (6.9%): A German Maibock with flavors of pale and earthy Munich malt, smooth honey and flower.

First try at this Maibock from Andechs. Beautiful pour. Nice balance of German malt and honeyflower on the aroma. The flavor is earthy and pale Munich malt balanced by honey flower. It's sweet, but not overly so. Incredibly drinkable and smooth. Not a big fan of the Maibock style, but this is the best I've had. Often they are overly sweet and cloying but this packs enough flavor outside of the honey to appreciate the Munich malt flavors. Best of the style I've had.

Rhinegeist Brewery Truth IPA at GABP. The Reds v. Guardians game got bumped to an early 5:10 pm start (was supposed to be 6:40 pm) today because the weather is supposed to get a bit horrendous later tonight.
